Colexin Grinned, Using Her free hand to make a rattle levitate, she hovered it above Teddy's head

 

he tried to grab it giggling

 

Colexin smiled warmly, before placing him back in the cot

 

"All better baby boy?'Maddie said tickling his cheek,that was her nick name for him,he blinked his blue eyes at her,scotties eyes,that was too much for her,she broke down in tears

 

Colexin Reacted instinctivley, hugging her. "There, its okay"

 

"I just miss him,and teddy'll never know him,he'll never know them....its not fair."

 

"yeah, but we can tell him about them, tell him all the wonderfull things they've done" Colexin told her.

 

"I know...but its still not fair....we knew him....he had nothing to do with us....just a friend...and he was teddy's dad...and hes never gonna know him...."

 

"Like i said, We can tell him about them. Besides, Teddy's got us, he'l be fine"

 

Jonathon apparated in the front room, his eyes slightly red. "I Just heard the news..." He murmered.

"Why does it happen now of all times?" He asked loudly, sitting down next to Cory

 

he shrugged

That night Lyra said everybody could stay at her house,Cory was lying awake in his bed next to Carrie,in his hand was a letter,he had spoken to Ada and James,the idea was final...they were leaving....he got off the bed and headed out the room

 

Ada lay awake in Lyra's front room, her brother on the floor, her on the couch...

"Ada, you awake?" James whispered...

"Yeah, think we're the only ones awake?"

 

He got dressed in the bathroom,went back to his room and picked up his bags,he looked at Carrie,then went to look at Teddy,since Scotte died,Cory and Carrie were his Gaurdians,Since he didnt have any other family"Hey Buddy....im gonna be gone for awhile ok? but Auntie Carrie'll be here looking after,im gonna go get the guys who took your mummy and daddy....then i'll come back...Promise...."he said touching the babys hand before wiping his eyes and heading down stairs,letter in hand

 

Ada heard someone coming down the stairs, then looked at James in the dark. "He's leaving..."
