Mary moved her head up slightly and looked at Lyra

"Lewis...can you tak alex down to his dad? tell him im not gonna make it back at the house tonight for dinner too..."

"coming uncle lewis..."He said following him

"so...what hae you been up to for..seven years?"lily asked cade

 

Cade grinned"Training as an Auror..I told you I'd be one!"

In the reception of the ministry building Conni was talking on her mobile with her dad while trying to stop Casey running off, "I know, quit it! Not you, sorry... Look, this might be the job I might actully get and I might be good at ok?"
"Mummy? Mummy? Mummy? Mummy? Mummy?!"
"It's just one interview, I know you... Will you let me finish! For god's sake!"
"Mum? Mum? Mum? Mum? Mum?" Casey continued to chant.
"Look, I know you think I should leave the dangerous dark arts stuff alone. And I agree that logically I should, but Dad since when did I think like that?"
"Mummy? Mummy? Mummy? Mummy? Mummy?!"
"WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW!?"
"Hi..." Casey smiled innocently
"For fuc.." Conni sighed but stopped herself swearing "Just shut up Casey."
"No..." He muttered.
"Casey so help me I will..." Conni growled thinking about what to say "I'll make you come with me on every interview and never let you go to Grandma's and Gradad's ever again!"
"Sorry Mummy..." Casey mumbled grabbing hold of her leg and hugging her in appolgy.
"Just like your Dad you are Casey... You think acting pathetic will make me wanna forgive you..." Conni sighed and carried on talking "Sorry about that... You grandson's being a pain again..."

"come on you..."lewis said picking her up"I'l take her down stairs...ok lil?"he said

 

"I can look after myself dad! Whatever... I so don't sound like a teenager! How would you even know what one sounds like, it's been centuries since you where one!" Conni snapped
Casey was slowly walking off, unseen by Conni who was still yelling at her father.

Casey looked back at his mum and ran away, She'll never find me, then I can jump out at her and scare her! It'll be so cool!

"Look, I- Da- wil- Good bye!" Conni yelled down the phone snapping it shut "Come on Casey. Let's go, Casey? Casey?!" She looked around franticly "Sh*t..." She whimpered.

"Hey Lewis! Have you seen Casey?!" She asked panicking, still looking around.

 

"no...wasnt he with you?"he said putting lyra down,who was looking around

 

"Yes he was! But...but he's gone!" Conni said searching the room, darting from hiding place to hiding place.

 

"i'll help look for him..."he started looking

 

"Thank you! Thank you!" Conni said running off into the main building "Casey! Casey! Where is he..."
Some mother you are, you lost your only kid because you were talking on the phone...

Casey had walked back the way that they came from the Auror office, unaware of the panic he was causing Conni.
