I have been on this site for a couple of months and was wondering if there was
really a piont to introducing yourself.... I mean whats the big deal?

 

People will notice your name, and you might find some of the more friendly people on the site and begin making friends through an introductory thread.

 

OR you might open yourself up to some newb scaring from a vet like me >=D....or not <<.>>

You're only supposed to make a topic like this within the first week you join or if you've been gone for a LONG time and decide to come back.

And it's really what this section is for, INTRODUCING yourself, not asking if introducing is nesseccary.
