Kingdom Hearts II Hints towards Xion in KH2?

There are some hints in KH2 towards Xion. Such as when Roxas fell off the tower and communicated with Kairi was because he absorbed Xion at the end of the game, who was based off of Sora's memories, who resembled Kairi, because of Sora's strong memories of her. Makes sense?

Anyway, any other parts where KH2 hints about Xion?

 

I never really saw Roxas falling off the tower as a hint towards Xion. I always saw it as just a connection through Sora and his memories being regained and how that affected Roxas.

Hmm, I can't say I can think of anything...

 

I think that if there were any hints at all, whatsoever, that they would've been mentioned by fans between the time Xion was announced as a new character and the time 358/2 Days was released. The connection between Roxas and Kairi runs through Sora, not Xion, in my opinion.

Interesting fact - Xion was actually thought up partway through KHII.

If you want the parts I saw as hints, those would be the seashell at the beginning of the Passion FMV, the two Org. members in the background of the Axel+Roxas drawing (Xion and Saix), and the fact that for some reason everybody - err... every nobody except for Axel, Xemnas and Saix seems to see Sora as Roxas.

 

Do you have an interview as evidence, or just in-game hints? I'd quite like to see the interview, if it exists.

 

If you notice in the cutscene before Roxas fights Twilight Thorn, an Organization member is seen behind him. Possibly Xion?

They were finishing up KHII when they came up with the idea for Xion. She might not have been planned from the very beginning of the game, but they definitely had time to go back and go through things.

 

I wouldn't say that really fit well...but I do see where you comming from. I thought the communication was down to sora and Kairi's connection nothing else...

 

I believe the hints were possibly the following

Namine's sketch of Axel & Roxas and how Namine refers to them as best friends and namine as seen Xion in Days but clearly forgot like everyone else.

Roxas falling off the tower is defintely through Sora & Xion, Xion was an embodiment of Kairi being his strongest memory.

Nomura has also stated Sora can dual wield without Drive Forms as it's clearly a techinique passed from Xion to Roxas's signature DW and then to Sora.

But most of Xion is shrouded in darkness since when she vanished, everyone forgot about her and she speaks through the second keyblade of Roxas's when given to Riku in Days as Roxas had struggled to remember after passing Oblivion to him.

 

that may be through roxas and xion's connection because xion's appearance was caused by sora's memories of kairi being a part of her. but it may be a combination of their relationship and sora and kairi's relationship as well.

i honestly think that it's either xion or an embodiment of part of his memories of being in the organization coming back to him. it could be either one because remember when sora and roxas fought he had the hood on like he did in there.

 

...Huh. How 'bout that. I thought he just came up with it on the fly. Well, I have a 1/5-finished game save lying around, maybe I'll keep an eye out for any possible hints at her existence.

 

Can you show me this Organisation member? I can't spot them in the footage.

 

Looks nothing like Xion to me. I always thought that it was Riku that was behind him.

 

I always thought it was Roxas.
Like Sora saw his shadow, if I recall.
Roxas saw the dark side of himself.

 

Makes sense but can a Nobody have a dark side. From what I've seen in the games, only people who have hearts can fall to the darkness. But Roxas was special so I don't know what to say about him.

 

Well, I didn't mean dark like Kingdom Hearts version of dark and light.
More like...evil? I guess.
It was his bad side.

 

That actually an interesting theory! I had a thought about that being true, but It can't be proven. theoretically yes I suppose.

Making logical theories is easier with the games to help you. But back to the main thread, I honestly see barely, or very little hints toward Xion.

 

Agreed. Sicne he came up with her halfway through production of KH2 maybe he MEANT to put some hints of her in there somewhere but i just don't really see any.
