"no, it isnt nothing, what's wrong?" I said, hugging her.

 

"It's nothing important," she said wiping away a few tears...

 

" Thank you." Jules was blushing furiously. She waited just inside the door for Clint. He was allowing her into his world and she understood the trust it took. He was always welcome to be a part of her world.

 

He followed her inside. It was a bit of a mess, he hadn't had time to clean it. "Sorry it's such a mess." he said, embarrased.

 

"Don't worry. I'll love it no matter how much of a mess it is. It belongs to you."

Jules followed him shyly.

 

He pointed to a room with a couch and a TV. "That's the living room." he said. He pointed to a room with a fridge and some cubbords, saying "And that's the kitchen."

 

Jules looked with pride. Clint was obviously independent. He seemed to cope so well on his own. Perhaps though he was lonely. There was no laughter here or company.

 

He went to a room with a bed in it. "This is my room." he said, "And the bathroom is right next to it. That's it for the tour."

 

Jules hugged him. "It's wonderful. At least you have your own place. I have a room and my parents make me tidy away my stuff from the other rooms."

 

He frowned. "I may have my own place, but I've been lonely for seven years. Ever since I killed my parents." he said. "Atleast you have parents to love you and care for you."

 

"There could be no way you killed your parents. You were a little kid. You shouldn't blame yourself. I love you, and my parents will as well. You don't have to be lonely any more."

Jules put her arms around him and hugged him.

 

"Thank you." he said, hugging her back and starting to cry.

 

Jules held him as he cried. She knew that whatever had happened in the past, Clint had blamed himself for everything. He needed to realise that he has a kid, and such responsibility was never his. She kissed him gently. He needed to let out all his feelings and know that someone cared.

 

He let go of her and wiped his tears. "The truth is," he said, "I really did kill my parents."

 

"Whatever happened, you cannot be held responsible. If that were the case you wouldn't be here now. I believe in you Clint."

 

"Thank you, but it's true." he said. "My parents were beating me for no reason and I was scared. I saw a gun and grabbed it. I pointed it at them and shot them both, killing them. And the worst part is, I'm glad I did it." He waited for her reaction.

 

"You were a scared kid defending yourself from abuse. I would never judge you on such an action. I'm so sorry you had to go through such pain. It's all over now."

Jules kissed him.

 

He kissed her back. He was glad she was here. It felt good to tell somebody about what he did. He put his arms around her waist and hugged her.

 

Jule rested her head on Clint's shoulder. He had been so badly treated. She admired how he had kept control of his life. She looked up into his eyes.

"I really love you."

 

Looking into her eyes he said "I really love you too!" He smiled as a tear rolled down his face.
