"I think everyone's going to the burger bar over the road. Do you know somewhere better? I'm afraid I don't really know the best places to go."

 

"The buger bar is fine, I was just wondering where we were going." he said. "OH! I just remembered! I left my jacket at the nurse's office! I have to go get it!"

 

"Wait here and I'll run and get it for you."

Jules ran off and returned to the first aid room. She grabbed the jacket and ran back.

"Consider me your willing servant."

 

"I don't want to think of you as a servant." he said. "I want to think of you as more of a 'helpful girlfriend.'" He smiled again.

 

"I can be that." Jules smiled. She gently supported Clint as the group wandered to the burger bar.

"What is everyone having?"

Christian: "I'm paying for Nicole and myself."

 

Mary goes to get her self a bunger and a chocolate milkshank

 

"I'll just have two burgers and a small soda." he said, finding them a place to sit.

 

Jules went to the counter and returned with a tray. She carefully put it down and sat next to Clint. "Are you sure you don't want anything else?" Jules took a small soda and a burger for herself. She was still worried about how Clint was coping with his wound.

Christian: "We'll join you as well. The food here is good." His tray was piled with food and there was a large soda on it.

 

"I'll be alright." he said, unwrapping the first burger. "But thank you for caring." He took a bite of his burger and a sip of his drink.

 

Jules nibbled quietly on her burger. She watched Christian wolf down his food. Did he stop for breath? She turned to Clint and smiled. He was charming and cultured. She wondered if they were all enjoying the food. Tomorrow she would be cooking so this was her chance to impress Clint. She loved preparing food and creating meals.

 

Clint swallowed and smiled back at her. "How's your burger?" he asked.

 

Mary sat on the table next to Jules and ate her bungar in peace

 

"Um, it's ok. Would you like to try my cooking tomorrow? I usually cook something ready for the next day. I'm making quiche and preparing a small salad type lunch."

She looked at Mary.

"How's your food Mary?"

 

"You cook?" he asked.

 

"It's good thanks Jules what about yours?" Mary asked

 

"Yes, it's my hobby. I suppose that's a bit wimpy."

"Not too bad I suppose, though I can do better. I make my own burgers."

 

"Cool, I'm not a very good cook so I always do stuff I can bang in the oven ha ha" Mary joked

 

"I don't think it's wimpy!" he said, "I think it's cool! I'd love to try one of your burgers!"

 

-I quietly sat next to Christian eating nothing...I didn't feel like eating anything...-

 

Christian: "You really should eat something. Do you want me to get you a salad or some ice cream? You can't starve yourself. Please?"

Jules grinned. "I'll cook some especially for you. I've never cooked for anyone as special as you before."
