"Thank you." he said, leaning on her shoulder. "After living on my own for so long, it feels good to depend on someone. But I want you to know that you can depend on me too."

 

"I know, I can feel it. You don't have to be alone if you don't want to. Not any more. You can depend on me. I'm not brave or particularly clever, but I will be here when you want me."

 

He kissed her on the cheek and said "I know you will." A single tear rolled down his cheek.

 

"Hey Jules wait up!" Mary shouted running over to every one
"Whats up?"

 

Jules held him gently. She hadn't moved to the area long. Before she lived in a rural town where nothing happened. Her dad had been offered the cool job so they packed up and left. She hated moving at first, but meeting Clint and her friends had changed that. She never wanted to go back now.

 

"We are going to grab a burger." he said, wiping the tear away. "Wanna come?"

 

"Hey Mary! How was English? I bet I've got homework. The teacher wouldn't even notice I wasn't there."

 

"Yeah I wanna come, and Jules we have to write a 1000 word story by next week" Mary said

 

"Ouch!" he said, "That sounds harsh!"

 

"Ok. I like writing stories. I can always do that. Any particular subject, or just an open one?"

 

"As if I can do it in my sleep and it's on what ever we want"

 

"I wouldn't be able to do that." he said, "I suck at writing!"

 

"Maybe I can help you with your next story. I love writing. My art isn't so good though. I'm not good at drawing. Perhaps you could teach me?"

 

"Sure I'll teach you how to draw!" he said, "Luckily the English class I'm taking is Drama, which means no writing!" He smiled a big smile.

 

"Drama's cool. I do some amateur stuff, but I've never taken proper lessons. What about you Mary? Ever acted?"

 

"A little but I like music art and writting more" Mary replied

 

Christian: "I haven't tried yet but I'd love to have a go at acting. I reckon I could do it. How hard can it be?"

 

"Well first of all, you have to be able to remember all of your lines." Clint said to Christian.

 

Christian: "Hey I can do that. I'm good at remembering things. Singing and dancing I'm not so good at. Still, I can do serious stuff."

 

"So," he asked Jules, "where're we gonna go?"
