"No, thank you." he said. "You are more wonderful."

 

Jules grinned and dug through her bag. "Mum said to give you this." She gave Clint a sandwich box filled with snacks.

 

He smiled and said "She really likes to spoil me." He took one and gave one to Jules.

 

"Yeah, I think she wants to adopt you." Jukes grinned and took the snack. "Thanks."

 

"What's mine is yours, including your mother apparently." he said.

 

"That makes you my brother." Jules pretended to look horrified.

 

"Oh no!" he said, also pretending to look horrified.

 

Jules laughed. "No way. If you were my brother we'd be fighting by now. We don't want to do that."

 

"No we don't!" he said. "Plus, we couldn't do this!" he said, kissing her on the lips.

 

Jules kissed him back. She realised that she was happy just as she was. Clint was safe and she was able to look after him. She loved him so much.

 

He hugged her and closed his eyes as they kissed. He loved her sooooooo much!

 

"Well you are a big hit with the family. Mum has forgiven you everything. I'm really glad or they would have stopped us seeing each other."

 

"Nothing could stop me from seeing you." he said.

 

"But you tried to...." Jules started to cry. She couldn't bear the idea that she might have lost him. She hugged Clint against her.

 

"When did I do that?" he asked, trying to cofort her at the same time.

 

"Why did you have the gun in the hospital and get shot?" She looked at him through tear filled eyes. "I would have lost you forever."

 

"I thought you were going to die and I wanted to join you." he said, remembering the moment.

 

"Promise you'll never do it again. I can't bear to lose you." Jules hugged him and held him close.

 

"I promise." he said, holding her gently.

 

"I want to be with you for the rest of my life. There is no point if you're not there." Jules wiped her eyes. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said all that."
