"You didn't hurt my feelings, it's just a little embarrassing." he said

OOC: Cya!

 

Jules grinned. "Ok then Clint, we've arrived. Where do you normally sit? I'll just have to fit in as best as I can."

 

He pointed to the front of the room. "There. And there's and empty seat next to it."

 

Jules panicked. She never sat at the front of the class. Everyone could see her. She preferred to hide at the back but Clint sat at the front so she would put up with it. Worse than that they were all older than her and she would appear stupid compared to them.

 

Clint noticed she was uneasy. "We can sit in the back, if the front bothers you." he said.

 

"Um.....no it's ok. You usually sit there so I won't make you change your usual habits. I'll be ok. I might need your help a bit though. This isn't my usual class so I might be a bit behind everyone else."

 

"It's fine, I'll help you whenever you need it."

 

"Everyone in here is older than me. They'll think they have a little kid in with them. I know you won't though. That's what matters."

 

"These people are kind, they won't think anything like that. I know they won't."

 

Jules helped him to his desk and got his books ready for him. She sat next to him and got out a notepad and pen. She realised that she didn't have any textbooks as she didn't normally have this class. She fiddled nervously with her pen. It would be a disaster.

 

"We'll share my book." he said, handing her his book.

 

The teacher came in and told Jules to move her desk so she could see Clint's textbooks. Jules blushed but obeyed him. She sat very close to him leaning in. The work was different to what she had done before. She realised that Clint was so confident and also that she understood what was being taught. She even answered some of the questions in front of everyone.

 

Clint was proud of her and glad that she knew so much. He was also happy that she was so close to her.

 

After the lesson was over Jules looked at Clint embarrassed. "I hope I didn't show you up or make you feel awkward. I was so scared. I wanted you to not be ashamed of me."

 

"You're kidding, right?" he asked, smiling. "You were awesome! I'm so proud of you!"

 

"I'm proud of you as well. You are coping so well. You are my hero."

 

He blushed and said "I'm no hero."

 

"Yes you are. You are my hero and I won't change my mind. I'm so proud of you."

 

"Thanks Jules, you're the best."

 

Jules read off the list that she had been given. She needed to get him to his next class soon. She packed the books away and wheeled him to the next room. "I like taking classes with you, it's fun and you give me confidence."
