Jules gasped. "I love you." She closed her eyes and kissed him back.

 

His heart pounded and there was a tiny bit of pain, but it was worth it.

 

Jules held him and her heart raced. This was like a fairytale. Was this what true love felt like?

 

This was all too good to be true. He couldn't believe it. He went from a miserable boy who killed his parents, to a happy young adult who was kissing the girl of his dreams.

Jules was so happy. Everything was working out well. If only she could go to the Prom with him things would be perfect.

He broke off the kiss and took a deep breath.

 

Jules gazed into his eyes. She felt like she could drown in them. He really was perfect.

 

He put his arms around her and snuggled up next to her.

 

Jules held him against her. Clint had had such a rough past, she hoped that he liked the future. She could hear her mum coming with drinks but said nothing.

Her mum entered the room and put down two glasses full of milk.
"I'll leave you two lovebirds alone."

 

"Thank you." he said to her mom.

 

"My pleasure." Jules' mum's voice echoed from the kitchen.

"Thanks mum."

 

He took the plate and offered it to her. "Want one?"

 

Jules took the glass of milk. She wondered whether Clint had ever been treated like this before. She doubted it.

 

He put the plate on his lap and took a cookie and a glass of milk.

 

"Are you happy now you are living here? You had your own place before and now you have lost a lot of privacy. We're not in your way are we?"

 

"Yes, I'm happy here. Privacy is overrated."

 

"I guess you got lonely at times."

 

"Yes, but now I'll never be lonely again, thanks to you and your parents."

 

Jules put her glass on the coffee table and sat back. She wasn't allowed to do any work and Clint would be treated the same. He never had to struggle alone again.

 

He ate his cookie and sat back as well.
