"I'm fine with it just as long as we aren't brother and sister!" he said, chuckling.

 

"Nah! If you were my brother you'd be bugging me by now and we'd be fighting. You can just do all those bloke things with dad. I just thought, you two might actually get on well - the horror."

 

"Bum bum bummmmmm!" he said and started laughing.

 

Jules laughed. Her parents joined them at the table and everyone relaxed and began to eat. Jules noticed that Clint was getting fussed over. She thought this was great.

 

He put his hand underneath the table on his lap.

 

Jules copied him. She looked at him and smiled. Her hand rested in her lap and she wondered what he was going to do next, though she had a pretty good idea.

 

He reached over and took her hand in his, still smiling.

 

Smiling, she moved her hand off her lap and back onto the table. She grinned mischievously at him then returned her hand to her lap. She held his hand and felt really happy.

 

He leaned in to kiss her on the cheek, forgetting where he was and who he was with.

 

Jules blushed furiously. Her parents were looking at them and smiling. She wished the ground would open up and swallow her. "Clint" she whispered. "Parents, remember."

 

His eyes opened as wide as they could and he slowly turned his head to see that her parents were indeed, still there. He face turned fire engine red, he was so embarassed.

 

Her dad grinned. "It's ok Clint, we didn't see a thing" he whispered.

"No, they saw everything" Jules whispered back.

She squeezed Clint's hand gently in moral support.

 

"Heheheh." he laughed nervously. "I think I'll just do a little exporing around the house."

 

"Why don't you show him around Jules. We'll clear up."

Jules helped Clint from the table and Took him around the living room, showing him where everything was. The study had been cleared and a bed made up in there. Jules showed him the downstairs bathroom.

"I guess it's for you until you are strong enough to walk upstairs."

 

"That's fine." he said. He blushed again and said "I still can't believe I did that in front of your parents!"

 

"Don't worry. They won't remember after a while. Anyway, they must have dated at some point. Now it's my turn." Jules kissed his cheek. "We'll leave the upstairs until you are stronger. How are you feeling?"

 

"Much better than before." he said.

 

"Good."

Jules went into the study and grinned. "You've got to see this. You have a TV, DVD player and a computer. Want a games console as well?"

 

"I think I'll manage without." he said. "I'd prefer being with you than playing video games."

 

"You need to rest. I'll help you lie down. You must be worn out after all the excitement. It's weird to think that you are only just moving in here. You belong here."
