"No. It's not your fault. I should have waited for Mum and Dad. Are you comfortable?"

BIC: "As comfortable as can be!"

 

"It won't be long until you can rest again. I'll probably have to rest as well. Don't tell mum and dad that I helped you. They'll go nuts. I'm not meant to lift anything."

 

"My lips are sealed!" he said, smiling.

 

Jules' parents came in and pushed the wheelchair out to the car. Her dad lifted Clint into the car and Jules helped him with the seatbelt. Soon they were driving home.

 

He held her hand and said "This is going to be great."

 

Jules held his hand and smiled at him. The future was going to be interesting and brilliant. Her parents pretended to ignore them though she could see her mum smiling.

"Welcome home Clint."

The car pulled into the drive.

 

He smiled and took off his seatbelt.

 

Jules went up to open the door while her parents helped Clint out of the car and back into the wheelchair.

"Welcome to your new home Clint."

Her parents helped him into the house.

"Where would you like to go first?"

 

"I would like to-" His stomach growled, loudly.

 

Jules and her mum looked at each other and laughed.

"The dining room!"

Jules went with them and stayed with Clint while her mum prepared food.

"Hospital food sucks big time."

 

"You got that right!" he said.

 

Jules smiled. "You're home now and you are going to be spoilt. You deserve it. I'm so glad you're here."

 

"I'm glad I'm here too."

 

Jules realised that she was hungry when the food arrived. She got drinks and put one ready for Clint. He would want for nothing. She ate quietly next to him.

 

He smiled and started eating. After swallowing a bite, he said "This is delicious!"

 

"I told you that you would be spoilt. Mum wants to know what your favourite foods are. She has this theory that you heal faster if you are happy."

 

"Well, I'm always happy when I'm with you."

 

"While we were in hospital mum and dad were busy getting your room ready for you. Dad even put his spare lap top in the room and set up a wireless router downstairs so you can surf the net in bed. I think he always wanted a son."
