Jules could wait no longer. She ran down the corridor. The medics had finished and Clint seemed to be talking to himself. She slipped in and went across to him. Cringing a little with the pain she bent across and kissed him gently.

"It's ok. I'm here Clint. Are you ok?"

 

"I didn't make you run and you will live it is your destiny"

 

"Go ahead." Roka said, waving his arm at the door.

 

"I'm fine. I'm just in a lot of pain." he said, holding her hand.

 

"What caused that. You were doing so well. They didn't hurt you did they?"

 

"I was running away from Tacole."

 

"You could have agreed and been done with it."

 

"I told you I'm through with weapons!"

 

"He doesn't want weapons so leave him alone. Can't you see the damage they've done so far? Weapons equal pain and loss. Clint doesn't want that. Maybe that's his destiny and you have been misled."

 

"And yet that is what gave powers like sensing spirits"

 

"Just leave us alone!"

 

"So what. I can do that as well but it means nothing. Take that destiny rubbish away. Our destiny is to be together, with or without your help."
