"Want to come back to me. I want you back. The bridge must be strong enough for you to cross. You have doubts at the moment."

Jules reached out to him with her hand.

The doctors and her parents watched on in shock, thinking she was temporarily insane.

 

"Even so, I've lost too much blood. And the only person I know that has the same blood type as me is my cousin Jimmy and his parents hate me!"

 

Jules grinned. "What's your blood type?" Suddenly the answer was clearer.

 

"O positive."

 

"So's dad. It's complicated but I'll explain when you're back. Let's just say he isn't my birth dad. It could work. They left you on life support. It could work."

 

"Are you sure he'd do something like that for me?"

 

"He would for me. I'm his only kid and I'm 'daddy's girl'. Please forgive my parents for what they said. They care about me and were worried. They wouldn't be mean to you."

Jules excitedly talked to her dad regarding her idea. He frowned at first and then she started to cry. He wandered off and started to talk to the doctors. She sat back and closed her eyes.She heard her mother speak.

"We could help. That boy needs a proper family. Did you hear that woman? No wonder he went wrong. Bad blood. Perhaps if he had a good family he could change."

Jules smiled. "Go mum! Once she's made her mind up nothing moves her."

 

"Thank you Jules." he said, kissing her. "I've got to go now."

 

"Don't leave me." Jules started to cry. Her mother went over to her, thinking it was all due to shock.

Her father went with the doctors to have the necessary tests done. They would then start to see if they could save Clint.

 

"I have to be near my body or it won't work."

 

"Ok, just promise you'll come back and not leave me."

 

He smiled and said "I promise." He disappeared.

 

Jules waited and fell back asleep. The events had exhausted her. She wanted him to be back again. They would be together, she would see to that. No more guns...........

 

Clint found himself next to his body. "I'll be back soon Jules."

 

The medics worked frantically on Clint's body. Machines beeped and Jule's mother waited and worried. This rogue boy seemed to mean so much to Jules and he had to live.

Her father patiently gave blood and waited for the results of the work. They gave Clint a slim chance of recovery. No one knew the effects if he did pull through.

 

Everything went blank. He felt himself melt into his body. Then, nothing.

 

Jules panicked. She didn't know what was going on. She screamed as loud as she could.

 

Next thing he knew, he was lying in a hospital bed. "What happened?" he asked.

OOC: He doesn't remember anything that happened while he was dead.

 

"Welcome back. It seems you have been though a lot. How are you feeling? I know a stupid question."

Jules' dad smiled at Clint.

 

"Where am I? Why does my chast hurt?"
