Jules walked swiftly with Clint towards Nicole's house. She was in control and perfectly capable of looking after them both. Soon they arrived there. Jules knocked on the door and waited.

 

"Thank you." he said, loosening his grip.

Jules kissed him gently on the cheek.

She saw how he was being so brave under the circumstances. It took real guts to be that in control.

 

"Where is he?" he asked.

 

Jules showed him the phone with the messages on.

"I don't know" she said honestly. "Perhaps they have been delayed. Apart from you only Christian and Nicole had my number. Why would Nicole do something cruel? She isn't like that."

Jules held Clint tightly.

 

"I want to see Christain!" he said, crying again.

Jules started to cry. She looked into his eyes. "I tried...."

She glared up at the roof "Shut up!"

 

"Please don't cry." he said, kissing her on the lips.

 

"I knew Christian wasn't here but you wouldn't listen,you know it's true you have to leave it to Clint and him alone."

 

"Come home. There's nothing here. I..I don't feel safe here."

Jules looked at him with terrified eyes.

 

"What is scaring you?" he asked.

 

"Everything. Dead people coming back, everyone acting crazy and not being in control." Jules slumped. "Am I so weak?"

 

"If you can't let go of something to save then yes you are weak,I know Clint your angry at me but it's true"

 

"You're not weak. You've helped me through all of this. That takes a lot of strength."

 

"Then I'll be strong for you. There is no way I will desert you. I just want to know what to do."
