High School <3 - Living up the Teenage Years

"To the gym? hah wouldn't it be awkward?" She asked him, "but I guess that's fine" She smiled.

 

"Okay okay," She said holding on to Alaric's neck and rested her head on his shoulder.

 

"So many people are looking," she started giggling. They finally got to the gym. Lexi was about to jump out of Alaric's arms.

Jessica heard the bell ring. She smiled and headed into the locker room and changed into her school clothes. Pink and white striped collar shirt, and plaid pants with different shades of green. She went straight to her locker, put away all her stuff and headed to the lunchroom.

She got her tray and looked around, sitting at an empty table. She ate her lunch softly, and all alone.

 

He sat up and stretched. He got his food and went back to his table. He saw Jessica, but thought it best to just leave her be right now.

 

She finished her lunch and took up her tray, then sat down again, at the same lonely table. She sighed, putting her head down.

 

He bit his lip and got up, going over to her. "You okay?" he asked, trying to sound kind and concerned.

 

She looked up at him, remembering that Lexi said he was harmless.
"Yeah, i guess," she said.

 

"You sure?" he asked. "You seemed upset."

 

"I'm only paranoid. It's my first day, at a new school. I don't fit in where i'm a hick," she said, sighing and getting out her iPod touch from her pocket.

 

"I don't think you're a hick." he said. "And nobody fits in on the first day. Just try and be yourself and you'll attract friends in no time."

He sighed and sat down across from her.

 

She laid her chin on her hands when she leaned down, and she softly mouthed the words.

 

He sighed again and lay his head on the table, closing his eyes.
