High School <3 - Living up the Teenage Years

She turned on the mic and started to talk to it. "Hey guys, Lexi here. Time for your annoucments of the day" she picked up the pieces of paper that teachers have written to be said. "From the Chess Club, meeting at lunch. Be there or your King gets crushed... " she quickly brought another note out. "The science department would like to find the culprits that put the dead frogs in their lab coats. And who ever is going to Cancun over the break must have their money handed in by tomorrow to Mr. Smith. Get ready guys, it's only 2 days away. Don't forget about the Senior Football team playing against their rival school who shall not be named, tonight at the Landmark Centennial field. Have a good day everyone" She turned off the mic and headed for class.

 

He smiled and took his seat in Calculus, taking his earphones out. He couldn't wait to go. He had already turned in his money, so he didn't have to worry.

 

"Hey Lexi" A cheerleader from her team called. "Don't forget the quick meeting after school" She smiled. "thanks, I won't" and the girl ran off. Lexi went to calculus to see not many people have arrived yet

 

"Hey Lexi!" he said as she walked in. "Great job with the announcements, as always."

 

"Hey, Cliff" She said walking to sit in the seat beside him. "Thanks man, so have you seen Alaric yet?" She asked him fixing her hair.

 

"Nope, not yet." he said. "He's probably still hitting the snooze button." He chuckled a bit.

 

"Sounds just like him" She said. Another girl came up to Lexi and said "Lex, we have volleyball at lunch right?" She asked her. "Yeah we do, see you there" She waved at her. "There's a lot going around in this school, it's good. " She said to Cliff.

 

"Yeah." he said. "I heard we were getting a new female student from Kentucky too." He blushed a bit and said "I heard she's supposed to be really cute."

 

"Yeah, I'm her mentor," She said to him. "Um, I really haven't met the girl but I'll tell you if she is. You like hitting on the new girls, why is that?" She started laughing

 

He blushed more and said "You know how lonely I get. Especially when you and Alaric are together. It doesn't help that each and every one of them have turned me down."

 

"See this is why, you trust in me and I'll find you a girl, but I have a good feeling," She said and smiled. "You can have Alaric if that's what you want" Lexi started giggling.

 

He sweatdropped and sighed. "I think I'll pass on that. You know I only like girls."

 

"haha just messing with you, dude" she said to him. She took out her cellphone to look at the time. "He's going to be late for class again"

 

He sighed and put his head on the desk.

Lexi rested her cheek on the palm of her hand. "You need to get a new one then. You coming to the football game tonight?" she asked him.
