So the age old excuse applies here: I saw it on another forum.

The forum was powered by vBulletin. But I don't know the version, server, admin CP, etc. if that plays a factor.
It's a pretty nitpicky thing so I doubt many people will even agree with this.

But you all know how the Spoiler Tags works.
A blue button says Spoiler, you click it, and the post is spoiled.
Well, is there a way so where as you click it again and it rehides the spoiler?
This is mostly just useful for threads with pictures.
When some of the pictures are too big and the forum kind of stretches, it just really annoys me. Once I see the picture, I want hidden again so the forum's not stretched and I can keep reading.
I noticed that on KHV, once you click Spoiler, it shows as a normal post.
The other forum's spoiler tags said SPOILER: SHOW
Show was a button, once you clicked, it showed the image/post and then turned to HIDE.
    HIDE respoiled it.

Anyway we can implement that here?

I like this idea. I think it was suggested before, but CtR couldn't figure it out.

www.kingdomhearts3.org, they are a vbulletin and they have that style of spoiler tags, if you have an account there, it has show and hide

I don't think this is going to be accepted. Can't you hide the spoiler by reloading the page?

I checked the Suggestions and there was an approved one called "Spoiler Bracket Modifications".

I think it's the same thing I suggested, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to suggest in case it wasn't.
I'm actually PMing an admin on the other site asking if they know how to do this, in case it does get approved.

    Possibly.

But if a member has a slower computer, then that's more troubling then just clicking the spoiler again. It also doesn't help when people decide to quote the large image.
Or even with regular spoilers; you decide you want to see something, you click it, change your mind after the first line, you can hide it.
Although I doubt most people who see spoilers change their minds..

Just reload the page. It seems pretty pointless to me, and I'm sure CtR didn't look much into it because, well, it's pointless. You see a spoiler, you've seen it, you can't un-spoil yourself. If it's pics, then just reload the page, is it a big deal?

I understand what you're saying, but I don't really think it's worth it. Reload or think twice before clicking a spoiler tag. xD

yes but like Lilbueno said what about the people with slow comps and the people that quote it. That won't fix the problem that's why we need it

Well, I don't think the majority of the forum has that slow of a connection. Otherwise I'm sure a lot more of those people would be agreeing with this suggestion.

I'm not shooting it down, I'm just wondering if it's really that big of a deal.

It doesn't matter if they're in spoiler tags, pics are loaded like they are not hidden.

I think that the Hide/Show spoiler tags would be a good idea. I know of another site that uses this kind of tag and it actually proves to be useful sometimes.

I don't really think it's necessary, as others have said it's kind of pointless and yeah, you can't unspoil something for yourself.
The picture in a spoiler only loads once you click the tag - it would probably take more time to hide it again.

And if you quote a spoiler...it quotes the spoiler, not the image.

I have an account on there

Anyway, it is quite a good idea. It's better because some run on a really slow internet connection (like me) and it's takes a while to reload the page.

And besides, it's better than having to go through the trouble of refreshing the button and, sometimes, the internet becoming so bad that it closes the window.

    Therefore, it's a good idea.

I think it's quite a good idea, as if you clicked loads of spoiler buttons which are full of the whole page, then it gets kind of a hassle to have to scroll all the way to the top to find what you're looking for.

    Regarding spoiler tags,

It's nothing special but I was wondering, is it possible to make the spoiler tags so that when you click on it to show what was being hidden, you can click it again to hide it. An example since I suck horribly when it comes to explaining what I mean, say if you came across a spoiler tag and you clicked it, and a huge image was within said spoiler tag, you could just click the spoiler tag button again and it would hide the image again.

Hopefully that actually made sense, I know the easy way to hide the spoiler tag content is by refreshing the page but I'm just wondering if this is possible.
