You are wrong about that. That is why you are having trouble. If you see government and you turn away, then the government turned you off of the government. If you hear people debating and you turn away, then the debating turned you off of government. Your indifference is a reaction. But a reaction to what? If you honestly have no problem with talking about it, then maybe I can accede your point, but you do not just not care. You choose to alienate yourself from it. If you do not dislike something related to it, then you have no reason to alienate yourself. What is it that you reacted to that made you dislike discussing it?

A 3 to 4 page exploration essay of The Kite Runner.

what are you talking about? It just never really concerned me, in a sense. Sure what happened in the government would concern me sooner or later, but I just don't really care. It's their choice to worry about it, not mine. I don't want to worry about it, I don't want to care for it, I don't care for it, and whatever happens happens. It's not that I hate the government, it's just that I've never cared at all for what happened in it

doing papers on something you like is a lot easier. Like if I was in a creative writing class and had to write a story, well the first would be I'd have an excuse to finish my story, the second being is I love creative writing

 

I think you're missing the point here.
PRETEND you're a person who does care. You like creative writing, right? Then pretending should come easy to you.

 

well, I'm working on it right now, and when I'll finish I'll show you guys, but I don't think it will be good. Everytime I write a paper and it's supposed to be analytical, it's opinion, and when it's opinion it's analytical. (I know, it's strange).
And also, I may like creative writing, but that doesn't mean I'm going to lie. If I don't care for the government, I'm not going to write "I love the government because they do the greatest job of protecting it's citizens"(which we know is a lie). Creative Writing is fun, but I'm not going to hide my personal opinion on anything

 

Then write about how much you do not care. You do not have to write about the government to write about how society has shaped your political views. Explain in detail just how much politics have no relevance on your life. Straight out explain that you are not able to complete this assignment like the other kids because you have no interest in things that have never affected your immediate life. For instance, if you were alive during important political events, then explain why you did not care or hear about them and other kids did. Explain what made your life different and why you do not care about politics specifically.

For instance, I was not particularly aware of things when the twin towers fell. I could explain why that did not affect my life by saying what happened to me that day and in the years following, compared to other kids who were alive during that time. It is not that hard to build on the absence of something.

 

I finished the paper already, and I did that. Now I just need to run away to the next state so I don't have to listen to my parents complain their butts off over thee draft. I swear, my mom has such a short fuse there is no fuse at all. The moment she sees a mistake, she freaks out beyond belief. This is why I just want to do my school by myself. I may not get everything done right away, but I still get it done

 

Do you think I have ever studied fish in my life or even know the relevance of knowing how sediment is sorted? No. But yet I have a project for my Oceans class due Monday no matter how much I like it. No one gives a **** about government as a kid. And everyone has to do this stuff so you might as well just do it and not complain about it. And maybe you should actually realize how government is actually relevant, and something you don't have to per say take an interest in, but at least know enough about it to not be as ignorant as you are now with this whole thread.

Long story short: You're not the only one in school dude.

 

There you go. I have a habit of bringing that back to bear on my parents when they criticize me. I have a very critical eye, more critical than they can ever be, and I put it to use when they are threatening me.

 

jeez, you should go to my house. My parents are so stubborn they always feel that they're right. I know I'm not always right, but for crying out loud, I'm the one taking the class and was the the class when he told us what to do with this paper. Instead, my mom's like "I read what it said online" and now she thinks she knows exactly what I'm supposed to do. Like she thinks that for this paper I need sources and stuff, but it doesn't. He said if we used sources we should of course cite them, but he also said we don't need sources for this. But I can't get that through their thick skulls

I have to write a paper I have no idea how to write, and I don't give two shits about the topic. I'm not posting threads about it.

I'm not too much of a blog person. I've thought of a vlog, but I don't have any good recording device, and my life isn't really interesting enough to do a vlog anyways

It is really easy to write a paper about something you don't like. Honestly papers aren't even tough at all.

 

you don't know me than. Papers are probably the worst part of school for me. Even more so than something like a final project for Chemistry
