Well after some poor bloke dies, a class trial is held shortly after. If the lot of you find the culprit guilty? The ******* dies and it's all good.

Well fortunately for you a bunch of NEEEEEERDS have gotten the PPSSPP to work pretty damn well
And I've tried it, it'll run even on your mothers 3560 year old laptop(no seriously, it's pretty well optimized. I highly doubt you won't be able to run games on it)
So go download that so you can go play this ****
(It should be noted though that there a few problems with emulating Dangan Ronpa on the PPSSPP. These problems will hopefully be fixed)

EMULATING
PPSSPP is a pretty well optimized emulator that can run at 60FPS on even the shittiest of laptops.

This fixes most if not all the problems with Dangan Ronpa


I CAN'T CLICK ON ANYTHING
tTry opening up the ppspp.ini file(you should have this if you downloaded the latest build) and look for
FramebuffersToMem
Change it from False to True
NOW I JUST GET BLACK SCREEN

I am afraid this is a graphics card issue for anything that isn't Nvidia or AMD. In this case you will have to use JPCSP.

THE TEXT IS ALL WEIRD
There are 2 solutions to this problem from what I've encountered.
1. Press F2 to do a quick save state. This usually fixes the problem
2. Options->Texture Scaling->(choose whatever option you already have picked, or another if you want to change it anyway).

On JPCSP use Vertex Cache and Software Rendering and handle SAVEDATA in Crypto Mode.
THE GAME FREEZES DURING A CERTAIN PART IN CHAPTER 6
In a certain room during Chapter 6 of the game, the game may freeze. In order to fix this, simply go into the ppsspp.ini file(or it's just called ppsspp) and change
HardwareTransform = True
to
HardwareTransform = False

 

Pass .

 

Also, there's an English Patch for it that just got finished recently. I am unsure of KHV policy on that, though, so go find it yourselves you lazy jackasses.

 

Right, I should probably link that. The patch itself is legal, it would be giving the download that's the bad thing.

 

But I gave my girlfriend my PSP to pass the time during her chemo treatments, so I cannot.

Does it actually work on emulator? As I recall just setting one up is a pain in the ass, much less getting it to run any games.

Nah, that PPSSPP emulator seems pretty good. Just tried it. Used BBS and it loaded right off the bat, perfect frames and everything. There was no background music, however.​

 

Oddly enough I think that's the one I was trying to get to work and something really important went wrong

I'm also not sure if gamepads work on PPSSPP yet. What drivers were you using to use your PS3 controller?

Also if all else fails you can use http://jpcsp.org/ to emulate it, however I'm not sure how optimized it is

 

I'll check that out, thanks. Also, I haven't used JPCSP in a while, but the last time I used it I could barely land 30fps on BBS, and I have a GTX 670, so...​

Edit: tried the two latest (v0.8.1-233-gfbe8a19 and v0.8.1-232-g676c000) and neither fixed the music. Odd; unless there is a setting in the options that deals with it.​

 

There is something that needs to be installed to fix the music problem.
When you open up PPSSPP it should detect that you don't have the thing and ask you if you want to install it

MotionInJoy. Tried it on every setting. It's supposed to be compatible, and it's what everyone recommends. I must've reset the emulator and reinstalled the drivers at least five times, nothin'.

 

Ah, I had to download the Atrac3+ plugin and activate it from the Audio settings. Never told me I didn't have it though. That fixed it.​

 

I use Motionjoy as well but I have not tried it yet with PPSSPP. I will attempt to and bring back results

 

Motioninjoy worked fine for me. Just connected my PS3 controller, did the Xinput Xbox emulation one, and then ran PPSSPP and it worked. L1 was like turbo and R1 was some settings menu, and L2 and R2 were the L and R buttons. (probably just my configuration)​
