It certainly was good. Felt really different with Matt Smith gone, but doesn't make it less enjoyable. The show is in good hands with Capaldi as the new lead.
Going to type things I notice as I go along in spoiler Spoiler #1: Love the scene where Strax throws the newspaper at Clara. That was hilarious. I'm sure everyone saw that coming #2: Seems like every time The Doctor regenerates, he has a moment of complete nonsense, like with his 10th and 11th incarnation #3: Strax is awesome #4: "Why am I posing?" "Art?" #5: "It's times like this I miss Amy" #6: Hitting the screwdriver in the something...or somethings #7: Was he remembering the "Madame De Pompadour" Episode? #8: Who sent them to that restaurant? I sense a plot coming on #9: I love how they revisited an old episode's story #10: What's with the round things on the TARDIS? #11: Seeing Matt Smith like that was just something. #12: Umm.....Random lady knows a lot about The Doctor.........please tell me we're not going to Supernatural and getting real angels
Just finished it a little while ago, it was ok. Can't really judge Capaldi's doctor until I've seen more, especially without the post regeneration hijinx.
I think he's brilliant, I wasn't worried but I feel like the next episode will be a better judge of that because he was a bit of a mess in this episode, still hilarious though. Some Doctor's are funny, but I don't think they have been as funny as Capaldi : D but he just nails subtle humour in my opinion.
