Solve by factoring:

1) (3x+2)(x+4) = 0
2) x^2+3x = 0
3) 9x^2=-30x-16

1) x = -2/3 and -4
2) x = -3
3) x = -8/3 and -2/3

I'm sure that I got 1 and 2 right. I did all of them in my head so I'm not so sure about 3. Check to see if it works.

Solve by completing the square:

x^2+6x+8=0
x^2-14x=-19
2x^2+8x+6=0

 

Completing the square is the WORST, I have no idea how it works. I just use the quadratic formula for everything.

 

I'm too lazy to do the rest Rissy.

Using FOIL is the best way to do it in my opinion.
