    I don't think he's kidding, and I get what he means.

    Even though it's reversed, it's not the same. I mean, everyone should know that homophobia is ******ed, but people have it because it's homosexuality is not normal (in the sense that the majority is not homosexual), and they are ignorant regarding the issue. Heterosexuality, however, is the norm, thus making it not "scary."

    Pretty much. I just don't see how this shows how silly homophobia is, even though it is, when none of this applies to real life. You could essentially do exactly the same thing with beastiality, would that make people who frown upon beastiality silly?
