Did anybody else watch the series? I rather liked it. It wasn't entirely consistent, but most seasons were pretty good, in my opinion.

I bring this up because I read an article the other day about the possibility of bringing the series BACK.

    AFTER HALF A DECADE.

Bottom line, anyone else have any thoughts?

This show was one of my biggest obsessions back in the day. I loved season one and rather enjoyed season two. Never saw the other seasons, and I sincerely can't say why. Without spoiling too much, was the ending of the series conclusive? Would it warrant more seasons, or would it feel forced?

The ending of the last season was great. While it did open up completely new possibilities...it did seem like a good place to end the series.

The media is covering something, I forget what but Sylar and Peter are there. Long story short, Sylar is a good guy now and Peter forgave him for killing his brother. So anyways, Claire gets the attention of the cameras and, like the first time she was shown, jumps off something really high. It ends like that. EVERYONE NOW KNOWS.

I kind of hated the second season because the Writer's Strike thing caused a character to basically be wiped from existence. That one Irish girl Peter was with. The one who got stuck in the future. She was never mentioned again but I think the comics actually say he got her out or something. I dunno. In the show she just stopped existing because of that strike. >>

Anyways. I loved the series. Peter was my favorite.

It did end at a point where they could leave it where it lies, but at the same time, there are a LOT more questions to be answered. The public's response, their lives after that fact, the group of heroes that had formed a colony need to move in a different direction, Claire's dad is at a point where he will have to adapt, among others. And there are a lot of characters that I want to see developed further. Looking deeper into that article about bringing back Heroes mentions that the original cast will probably make cameos, which tells me a whole new storyline, which makes me even more unsure about a new season.

I caught a few episodes here and there. It wasn't really my cup of tea. I liked the idea of having unnatural abilities, but the way they went about it was odd. I just couldn't really get into the show as much.

Maybe if they did a remake of the series, or made a move about it, I might try watching it again. As far as the original series goes though, I didn't really care for it.

I watched the first season, but the thing that really turned me off it was the violence.

At a certain point, I can't watch anything because it scars me to the point where at random intervals I see it when I close my eyes. Neon Genesis Evangelion is the same way. I can't stand that much violence. I did enjoy the season, but then the second season came along and it became too convoluted even without the violence for me to continue watching.

I do hope they bring it back at least for the fans who loved it.

Heroes was literally my favorite non-animated TV series ever.

For all of two seasons. Because it just sucked from Season 3 and on.

I loved the different perspectives on how the characters went about being a superhuman against ordinary men and women, trying to react to their discoveries and fit in with society (or, in Sylar's case, become even more separate from mankind.) It was a human story about people who were more than human, and it had a mostly focused plot that kept me hooked at the end of each episode. I have both Season 1 & 2 on DVD.

But Season 3 took the ball from Seasons 1 & 2, and just dropped it into a canyon.
It had a freaking superhuman prison, which of course experiences a jailbreak. They gave Mohinder superpowers while also taking away his complex personality. There was a giant convoluted plot with Sylar killing Nathan and Matt making Sylar think he was Nathan but than Sylar is in Matt's mind and the whole story just went bonkers.

Season 4 tried to fix the clusterfuck that was Season 3, but I just completely lost interest with the series by then. Samuel was nowhere near as interesting a villain as Sylar, and the carnival thing...was just weird, in a bad way. Never got around to watching it all, but reading up, I'm kinda glad I did.

I'll probably take up watching this new reboot or whatever. I just hope that they'll remember what works and what doesn't.

Heroes was my LIFE when it came out on NBC. I would actually do my work just to watch that show when it came on. I'm gonna be honest, It started to fall and tumble a bit after Season 3, but that was no excuse to stop watching it. Overall, it was a show well worth watching (btw, Sylar is on my top ten villains I love in media :D)

Now about a reboot. I'm kinda skeptical on this one. Seeing how the last one went, it could just get completely haywire. I don't know how it'll work, but I am defiantly interested in a reboot of the series.
