Here we go again

"Paying for it now are you though?"she grinned"should I warn her?"

 

"Oh I'm certainly paying for it." Casey sighed, rubbing his forehead with a covered hand. "Amd yeah, you should probably call her. More for Alex's sake then her's though, no one wants to see Elle with bed hair." He snickered, he could be rather cruel to his little sister at times. But he meant the best really.

 

"Serves you right."she said,picking up the phone again"Her hair cant be that bad..."Lyra dialed in Elle's number and waited

 

"Well, you know that thing my hair does? It's like that, but longer." Casey explained, using his arms to indicate just how much longer.

The phone rang a couple of times before someone picked it up. "Hello?" Elle said as she answered the phone call, there was the sound of Saturday morning children's television blaring in the background.

 

"I thought it was just your hair..."she muttered"Hiya Elle, Im just giving you a warning,because Alex is coming to get his car keys,since Casey chucked them at you...for god knows what reason."she laughed"and he thought you should be warned,incase your hair hasnt been brushed....thats what he said anyways."she said

 

"If he's talking about my hair going poofy it did that once, once. He's never let me live it down." Elle sighed leaning against the wall next to the phone. "But thanks for the warning Ly."

 

"No problem Elle."she said "Once her hair did that? once? ou made it sound like it did it all the time."

 

"More then once, she just won't admit to it."

"Well I need to go get dressed before he appears, I doubt he'd appreciate me in my pyjamas." Elle giggled slightly, trying to mask the panic that was starting to set it. Alex hadn't seen Jamei in a really long time, and as she grew older she looked more and more like him. She just had to hope to god that he didn't put two and two together. "Bye bye." She said hanging up the phone.

Jamei looked over at her mother, an eyebrow raised in puzzlement. It wasn't often she saw her mother looking so flustered.

 

"Bye Elle."she said putting the phone back down "Really? I wonder who's lying."She giggled"You or Her."

"Maddie! I wanna see it!"

"No! you'll rip it! Mickey get it out your mouth! no! stop it! STOP!" Then Maddie screamed as if someone was trying to murder her "MUMMY! DADDY! M-MICKEY RIPPED MY KITTY'S HEAD OFF!"

"YOU LIE!"

 

"WILL YOU LOT STOP BEING SO LOUD!?" Casey shouted at the twins, covering his ears up and then wincing at his own shouting.

Elle quickly disappeared into her bedroom to go get dressed and cleaned up. Just her luck to have him appearing any moment and she was looking at her absolute worst.

Jamei watched her mother wander into her room, she furrowed her brow for a split moment before going back to watching the cartoons. They were so much more entertaining then real life after all.

 

Maddie scowled at her father,stamping her little foot"He-killed-kitty!"

"Let me see your kitty Maddie..."Lyra said quickly,before she could scream again, Maddie had a powerfull set of lungs

 

Casey grumbled to himself and curled back up under the covers.

Elle quickly threw on whatever decent clothes she could find, determined to not see him in a stained top and messy jeans. She ended up wearing a lacy vest she hadn't seen in years, the one hoodie she'd kept out of Jamei's way during her baby to toddler stage, and a pair of jeans she'd avoided wearing since she'd had Jamei as she felt they made her look fat with the baby weight. Which, much to her disgust, she still hadn't managed to completely shift. Luckily the baggyness of the hoodie cancelled it all out.

 

Lyra rolled her eyes

Alex knocked on Elle's door,he was plae and tired looking,and not in a very good mood since his 13 year old brother had come round that mornning asking to stay for the weekend.

 

Elle jumped at the knock on the door, quickly she grabbed her hairbrush and pulled it through her rather messy mop of hair. At the same time as she brushed she walked over to the door, just as she opened it she dropped the brush onto a side table.
"Heya." She smiled.

Jamei looked over at the newcomer. It wasn't often that someone visited during the mornings. And usually if they did it was her Grandma, or Aunty Lyra and Uncle Casey. Not whoever this guy was.

 

"Hey,"He said smiling"Lyra said You've got my car keys.....not quiet sure how your brother got them though..."he said,grinning

 

"Yeah, Lyra called me a few minutes ago to warn me." She giggled. "I'll go get them, you can come in if you like." Elle said, looking back over her shoulder at the young man.

 

"Thanks."he said stepping inside"so...what'd you do last night? stay at home?"he asked trying to make conversation.

 

"Pretty much, me and Ly just sat around chatting and stuff." Elle said as she picked up the keys. "Until you lot dropped Casey off and he fell on me."

Jamei climbed off of the floor and onto the sofa. She peered over it to watch her mum and whoever this guy was. So far all she could tell about him was he looked familar to her.

 

"He fell on you?"Alex raised a eyebrow,glanced around,spotting jamei "Oh, thats your little girl right? wow she's getting....big-ish. how old's she now?"

 

"I have a name you know." Jamei said sulkily, usually she wasn't quite as precocious as her mother had been. But she didn't take well to people asking her mum questions that she was more then capable of answering. "It's Jamei. And I'm six. Who are you?"

"Jamei, don't be so rude." Elle sighed.
