"You ready?"

"I must of made an idiot out of myself..." She sighed, hanging her head in shame. She hadn't been so drunk since, well ever. The closest she'd ever been was her fifteenth birthday, and that was because someone had spiked her drink more then her own consumption.

 

"yeah...you?"


"Not really"he said

 

"I've been ready a while."

"You sure...? I didn't throw up over anyone or anything right...?"

 

"nah.."he said


"good point"she laughed

 

"Good." Elle nodded.

"So, we leaving?"

 

Lyra was sitting in the bathroom,on the edge of the tub,staring at the little white stick in front of her,it had been about four months since the wedding,how was she meant to tell Casey that she was expecting once more?, she chewed on her lower lip,then slipped the test into a bathroom drawer under her 'womanly things' so no one would find it. she left the Bathroom and went to sit on the couch.not before checking on the children,she was babysitting for Jordan,who had promised to be home long before now,she'd pulled an ld crib out for Zarrah and put the twins into one bed,and Ronan in the other,Jordan could pick them up in the morrning,he'd called about half and hour ago,and was pretty much out his face...again for the second time that week,since Lisa had left...his life had gone to the dogs...she didnt know what to do with him....he wasnt listening to anyone...and he was worrying their parents.


Alex was sitting in front of the T.v in his own house,playing with a piece of fabric on his shirt.

 

"Heya Ly." Casey said wandering into the room, a stack of papers that were up to about half way to his chin balanced on his arms. He'd been working on his final project to earn the right to be a fully fledged Healer, the goal he'd been running for for the last seven years. "You okay? You were in the bathroom for ages."

Elle was sat on the sofa, her legs crossed in front of her. She brushed her hair out of her face, as she looked down at her lap.

Jamei was curled up with her head on her mother's lap. She was fast asleep and had been for many hours now. But Elle just hadn't had the heart to move her. She'd been having nightmares for the last couple of months and was struggling to catch even a couple of hours sleep a night as she refused to sleep because she was terrified that the man in her dreams would come and get her. She was still completely unaware that Alex was her father, Elle had decided it was for the best at the moment as she could tell Jamei wasn't too happy with the change of Elle having Alex as a boyfriend without the added shock of suddenly gaining a father.

 

"what? Um....yeah...Casey....can we talk? there's something I need to tell you..."she said slightly hisitantly


Alex glanced down at Jamei and a smile touched his lips

 

"Okay." Casey said, raising an eyebrow curiously. Carefully he set down the papers on the table he was heading to. "What's up?"

Elle giggled softly and stroked her daughter's hair. "At least she's finally sleeping properly..."

 

"Remeber we said we'd wait another year or two to have another baby?"she said biting her lip"well...Thats not going to happen Casey...um...I took so long in the bathroom because I was taking a test and....It was positive....Im pregnant.."


"Is she still having nightmares?"

 

Casey looked at her blankly for a moment, as though he wasn't quite sure what had just been said. But after a couple more minutes Casey grinned excitedly. "Really?!" He exclaimed, it was obvious how thrilled he was at the prospect of being a father once again.

"Yeah..." She nodded slightly. "She keeps waking up and screaming in the middle of the night... It's rather unsettling actually..."

 

"Yes really."she laughed

"she ever tell you what she dreams about?"

 

"That's great!" He grinned, grabbing her into a hug as fast as humanly possible.

"She says it's this man, a tall man who's face she never sees. And he's following her around but no one else can seem him and they think she's lying so she gets sent to her room for it. And then he appears again and tries to kidnap her... She shouldn't be having dreams like that at her age..."

 

she smiled and hugged him back

he frowned "Have you told anyone else? Its not normal...and she must be terrified"

 

"I love you." He chuckled, kissing her forehead gently.

"No, I didn't want them making a huge fuss and scaring her more... You know what my mum is like for omens and stuff..."

 

"I love you too"she smiled

"But if its getting so bad she's waking up screaming..."he said "Oh I dont know....I suppose you could see if she just grows out of it..."

 

"Of course you do." Casey said with a haughty expression. "Who wouldn't love me? I'm amazing."

"I'm going to wait and see if it gets worse... If it does I'm gonna talk to Casey. He's a healer, or close enough anyway, and he knows her well enough to know what's going on in her life. For the most part anyway..."

 

she laughed


he nodded "are you waiting for the right time to tell him...about me?"he asked

 

"You can't deny it, no one can. Because I'm the best." Casey smirked, trying his hardest not to start laughing at himself.

"Sort of..." Elle sighed. "I don't think there's ever going to be a right time though..."
