help me beating Demyx at hollow bastion.
is there an easy way to beat him?
i already fight him like a 1000 times and always lost lol

There are a few hints to beating Demyx.

One is to try changing to Wisdom Form when he is doing the water forms so you can hit them and get rid of them faster, or to do it when he is doing the water walls all around that make it hard to get at him. I never really bothered using Wisdom form on the water beings and switched back to normal after using it to deal with the water wall issue instead. Someone recommended it to me and it does work, though I had defeated him before just by moving around a lot. I do warn if you change into a Form, you risk turning into Anti-Form, but if you can get Wisdom to work, it can help you out to get some cheap shots at him when he's doing the geysers etc. Also, trying out some of the Limits with your team members can help take his bar down some. Do not do Limits though with the water beings there. Instead, rely on the Reaction Command or Wisdom Form. To me, they were kind of hard to see, so I just preferred using the Reaction Command.

Another thing to do is try to move around a lot and when he does let out the water forms, stay nearby him and do the reaction command because they tend to not move too far from him. That way you can hit the most of them for the best times. When dealing with the water forms, I'd rely on the reaction command "Wild Dance" the most because seriously, it works the best by what I've experienced, any way.

Also, stay near him when you can and wait for the reaction command. When he does the water walls really bad, back off him and make sure to have the Leaf Bracer ability on so that you can cure yourself if things get too bad. Try to keep him up in the air if you can and when he does the bubble sort of attack, back away and elude the water geysers by listening to what he says first. "kick to the beat" is what he'll say for the water geyser/walls.

Hope that helps at all. He can be pretty tough if you are in the low 30s in level but keeping fast and using the Wild Dance reaction command, not moving too far from Demyx is really the key to winning here. Good luck!

it took me forever to do Demyx - sexy but hard o.0

hehe - coz it was when he said "Dance Water Dance" and I'd be wtf and somehow i've got 10 seconds to kill them and i was like noooo

but i did it eventually

now im stuck on a part and kicking kyself

when you get to tron 2nd time and you have to defeat the heartless on the ship - i did it once - then i accidently went back without saving - and i cant do it again - ahhh

 

yeah im in level 29 now lol.
when he say water dance its easy to get rid of them do the wild dance

 

sometimes i would change into a form, then suddenly he would say "Dance Water,Dance." I was so ticked because I would be in antiform.

 

Just be patient and now bash your controller because when I was really pissed at losing I went nuts and kept pressing buttons but once I calmed down I beat him and I was like "Oh. . .that's it?" LOL Good Luck just, watch his moves and get every single clone, to get most of the clones go closer to the center

Antiform is like the heartless-version of Sora (it appears that way). If you change into antiform, you hit stronger, but you are also weaker, taking damage harder. Plus, no experience points.

Here's a picture of how it looks. Oh yeah, to change into it, just change into one of your other forms (such as wisdom, valor, etc.). Anytime you do that, there's a chance you'll turn into the antiform (except for the master form).

As for any more Demyx help...I don't know any other tips, so just listen to Repliku. XD

 

Antiform= The worst possible thing that could happen to you in a boss fight.

In anti-form, you cannot use magic (that means no healing)
You cannot revert out of anti-form.
You cannot use items in anti-form.
You cannot use anything, really in anti form. The only available option is attack.


So... antiform, you are pretty much .... done for.

As for beating Demyx, you just have to recognize his pattern. When he does the walls of water, you gotta move move MOVE. If you see a triangle, PRESS IT. Showstealer bites when you miss the reaction command. When he says, 'Dance, water, dance!' Be ready to kick some butt, and FAST. Do not waste magic (and precious time) on these...things. Use the Wild Dance reaction as much as you can, but if you have to, just hit them.

can you change to normal if you change to antiform?

 

Oh you're not the only one who's had alot of trouble with him.

I first suggest NOT to use any drive forms- if you do use Valor because you want Donald in your party. Donald is the best at killing the water clones really fast.

It's very helpful if you learn how he fights. When he yells out "WATER!" then run as far away from him as possible because loads of water orbs will fall. Just keep running when he uses loads of water columns. Once he's done that 3 times then he will use it again but it will be in a circle around him- so stay back but not too far so once he's finished you can run in and attack as much as you can. Once he starts his tactics again then just do what you did before- dodge.

It is always helpful to be a few levels higher then needed. Just one level makes all the difference. I recommend using Circle of life keyblade if you have it.

Put Heal, Reflect, Thunder and another of your choice- maybe a hi-potion or ether. With reflect (whatever level it may be) go up to him when he's about to attack and use it then it should fire back at him- it's REALLY effective with any enemy. WELL RECOMMENDED!

The water clones are most of the time the trouble. Donald will help ALOT! Commet can be very helpful. Equiped auto limit for Donalds commet attack- sometimes that can help since you can use it and your keyblade at the same time. Use wild dance at every oppurtunity.

DON'T USE BLIZZARD! Demyx is immune to it, he is 100% vunerable to Fire and keyblade attacks.

Xaldin IS alot of trouble.

I recoomend having Beast and Donald in your party since Beast is strong and Donald can heal. In your shortcut menu have ethers, Reflect heal and Thubder. Thunder may only be 50% effective on him but it's very helpful. Use learn at any possible time since that's the most efficient way to hurt him. To use learn go up to him and when he's about to attack then use the reaction command "Learn" it should hopefully come up.

Reflect helps alot in battles since everything can be reflected. At first go in and attack with all you've got! Commet can be helpful but MP is very precious here. Luckily if you die then you can become Mickey. What I hormally do is when I'm Mickey I attack Xaldin just to get his life down. Use learn alot. When he does that massive laser thing run to the door that you came in from and run toward the laser. When it gets to you(just before actually) then quick run (extra for wisdom form- lvl 5 or 3) or if you don't have that and can't be bothered to get it then just run into the gap at the front- it might help but not always- it might e better to reflect it.

If you're still having trouble go and level up a bit- always helps. If you want go into Master form and attack him since it will be very effective and your drive should come back relitively fast.

When you know his spears are going to drop down jump- they should miss if you're in time and when they spin around just keep running forward. Once you learn how he fights and learn all his tactics it should be relatively easy.

For Xaldin, what I did was make sure to not get trapped in any corners, because the one I did get trapped in nearly killed me.

Make sure to have leaf bracer on if you have it. When he gets on the dragon, just move around in a direction away from him running about and avoiding things coming at you or if you feel brave, try to do Reflect. I just had Sora hop around like a loon for a while running in the opposite direction of Xaldin and going to the sides when I could.

Next, make sure to watch for the Learn Reaction Command and I put in any Combo Pluses I had and get him there. You can get him straight off in the battle with a combo if you are quick. I never used Forms because of the Anti-Form notoriously showing up whenever I seemed to fight the Org people and you don't need it really but Valor Form probably could aid you or Master if you get in a pinch. Remember though, the key to beating him is when he's on the dragon, try to avoid him and move away but do not let yourself get stuck in a corner or it spells your doom.

As he spins the lances around himself stay back but once it slows down move in and you can either combo him or get the Reaction Command. If you die, make sure to put in you will 'never give up' as your option and King Mickey will come to help you. He cannot kill the boss but Pearl works well on Xaldin and you can get some good V-swings on him. Don't waste too much time as Mickey though, and make sure to instead, when Mickey starts losing some hp, to go and heal Sora up so you can get back in the game. Mickey can't kill the boss, so other than just wanting to play around and drop the boss a bit to move him out of the way of Mickey and Sora, I'd just get to healing Sora. Then do Reflect and go at Xaldin again following the steps above.
