Decided to finally experiment with Photoshop, and these are the results. Still don't know how to make borders, can't find how to make light-sources, can't seem to understand pentool, don't know how to resize layers after placing them with the BG, don't understand most filters...but, at least managed to make this.

    CnC. please...

But, then...isn't photoshop better? Why not use Photoshop. I'm pretty familiar with GIMP, but I also want to see what Photoshop is capable of.

And now, I'm confused GIMP or Photoshop?

Overall, Photoshop is the better photo editing program because of some features that GIMP doesnt have but GIMP is a good substitute if you want something that is free. Nice work for your first time in photoshop.

Photoshop is definitely better than GIMP.
