... i forgot how to make signatures after I made a few....can someone refresh my memory?We wiped our harddrive recently too.....i had a memo on there.

 

Well you need to have a graphics editing program, firstly. The most popular is Photoshop, but it's very expensive. If you want a free solution, try Gimp -- it doesn't have a lot of the features of Photoshop, but it's got some interesting stuff that will keep you occupied.

Then you just kind of go to town with it, haha.

 

Instead of "going to town" with it I'd actually suggest looking up tutorials, especially since you said that you haven't done it in a while and don't remember where to start.
www.deviantart.com is a good place, just type in "Signature Tutorial" and you'll get a bunch of hits. There's stuff for both GIMP and PS on there, as well as brushes, textures, stock images, etc.
I've saved a few good tutorials, PM me if you're interested and I'll dig them up.
