Heavy, Non-Existent Heart

Saix blinked, surprised. he put his arms around her. w-why....am i..... hugging her....... the diviner asked himself. he hugged tighter. but not so tight it would hurt her. strangely... he was enjoying this. he put one hand on her head.

 

Raiu held on to him tighter with even more tears streaming down her face. She didn't want him in trouble anymore, which means no coming back here. Raiu let go and wiped away her tears but still looking sad, she looked at him. "Can you take me home?"

 

Saix nodded. he opened a portal. "i'm sorry it turned out like this..." he sighed. "i thought we might've had a good time... that would've been a first for me..." the diviner said as he stood up.

 

"You shouldn't blame yourself. I was the one who asked in the first place to come here." Raiu walked to the portal, ready to go back home. She turned to Saix, wanting him to come for a minute then he would come back here.

 

Saix nodded. he slowly walked to the portal and stepped through. he waited on the other side for Raiu. he shouldn't care for this girl. he had no heart to CARE with. but... he did.

 

Raiu stepped through the portal, back at the beach where they first met, and it was just yesterday. She wanted to run off to her small home but before she did, she ran to Saix and embraced him. "I don't know when you'll be back, but I know you'll come back."

 

Saix hugged her. "i promise i will.... will you be awake at about midnight?" the diviner asked her. midnight was the only time Xemnas wasn't watching him. "if you aren't... it's okay..." he released her from the hug.

 

"I don't know. I can't make any promises but I'll try." Raiu ran off up the hill toward her home not looking back. She will wait for him, no matter how long it took.

 

Saix nodded and made a portal to his room. once he exited it, he layed down in his bed. the diviner set his alarm for midnight and went to bed.

 

Raiu was tired herself. She laid on her bed and stayed there all night with only a candle by her bed. She decided to sleep until Saix came. But she didn't fall asleep until 11:30. Raiu had a nightmare about many Heartless surrounding her and all she could do was stand there. She trembled, tossed and turn in her bed...

 

Saix woke up to his alarm. 12am. just like he had set it. he created a portal and stepped through it, arriving at the beach. he stood and waited for Raiu. the diviner sighed.

 

Raiu woke up from her nightmare and realized it was already midnight. She had to tell Saix about her nightmare. She jumped out of bed and ran from her house to the beach. She had a sad look on her face when she saw him. Raiu ran to the Nobody and covered her face with her hands. "I had a dream..."

 

Saix was snapped out of a daydream to Raiu's voice. "and what was it about?" he asked. he had a dream as well. but he wouldn't tell her about it. it wasn't the usual type of dream that the diviner had. it was.... happier.

 

"I dreamed that I surrounded by Heartless, they would swarm me and take my heart to darkness. I tried to get away but I couldn't... I stood there, waiting for my fate, and more importantly..." Raiu started to cry a little bit because of her nightmare. "You weren't there to help me." She was used to being alone but maybe now, she was afraid to be alone.

 

Saix sighed. "i wish i would have been there to comfort you." the words were out of the diviner's mouth before he knew he was saying them. "oh... i mean..."

 

"No. It's OK. As long as you are your true self with me, then it doesn't matter." Raiu wiped away her tears, trying hard to not cry so much. "Besides, if you do want to comfort me, now would be a good time."

 

Saix nodded. "o-okay." he embraced her tightly. he never wanted to lt go. but he knew he would have to eventually. the diviner wished he could just quit the organization. but he knew that wasn't possible.

 

Raiu felt the warm feeling of his embrace and enjoyed it. She embraced him back with a warm feeling as well. "I was always alone, but now... I'm actually afraid to be."

 

Saix chuckled. "i know what you mean." he tightened the embrace. "strange... what i'm feeling right now... some may call it...... love...." he chuckled again. "i know it can't be though. i'm a Nobody. i don't have feelings."

 

Raiu slightly loosened her grip and her arms fell to her side. But she then held him again, not wanting to let go. "I guess the stories of Nobodies aren't all true. Because... I found one, just like me." Did Raiu really like him that much? She felt so calm and true while around Saix, a Nobody was techincally not allowed to feel at all.
