Heavy, Non-Existent Heart

Saix nodded and removed his hands. "alright..." the Diviner struggled not to smile. he failed and smiled a little. he quickly covered his mouth. "oh..." he couldn't believe it... he hadn't smiled in years. but this girl... she caused him to smile...

 

Raiu heard something behind him and looked. There was a dark portal forming and she looked disappointed. "I think you're being needed somewhere else." But before she would say goodbye, she took out a knife from her boot and held it behind her long brown hair and sliced. The rest of it she threw into the ocean. She turned to him, with her hair now up to her shoulders.

 

he looked at the portal, then at her. "it would appear so. goodbye." the diviner walked towards the portal, but stopped when he reached it. "i would like to thank you." Saix said as he turned around to face her. "i actually had.... 'fun' talking to someone i can relate to. thanks." he started to step into the portal.

 

Raiu didn't want him to leave, not yet. "Wait, Saix!" She had to know if he would be back to speak with her again as it was nighttime. She ran to him and slightly grabbed him from behind. "Will you be back?" She looked at him with a concerned look.

Saix was slightly surprised. he started thinking. would he be back? "...yes. i'll be here first thing tomorrow morning." he said. "don't worry." a voice could be heard from the portal.
"number VII! hurry up!" the voice said.

 

"OK." She nodded and Raiu let go and ran off with her now short hair blowing with the breeze. She ran to her empty home and slammed herself on her bed. She had tears on her face. What was with that encounter? She was never affected by anyone like that. But she soon fell asleep... unable to get Saix out of her head.

 

Saix exited the portal. Xemnas was waiting for him. "sorry to keep you waiting Superior." Saix bowed. Xemnas nodded.
"alright. how did your mission go?" Xemnas asked.
"it went well. very well." Saix said. he turned around. "i'm heading to bed. goodnight Superior." Saix opened a portal to his room and stepped inside. the diviner layed in his bed, allowing sleep to overtake him. 'there's something about that girl i like...' Saix thought before falling asleep.

 

Raiu had images of Saix run through her head all night and she couldn't get him out of her mind. Most importantly, she didn't know why. Why did her heart beat when she was with him? But that wasn't important... what was important is that he sort of understood her. When she woke up, she put on the clothes she had on yesterday and rushed out the door to the beach. But on the way out, Raiu tripped on a large rock and fell on the ground. When she looked at her leg, it was bleeding a little. She held her leg in pain...

 

Saix awoke in the middle of a dream. he sat up and yawned. he looked at his clock. 8am. the diviner created a portal to the beach. he stood up and walked through it. when he arrived, Raiu wasn't there. he stood and waited.

 

Raiu showed up at the beach, but limping and holding her leg in pain. Saix was already there and she had to show him. She limped out in pain from behind the bushes. She looked at him like she was in pain.

 

Saix's cold emotionless eyes were full of concern. "are you okay...? what happened...? Saix asked. he tried not to show that he was as worried as a nobody could get. he failed once more, showing his concern. Saix walked over to her.

 

Raiu fell to the ground and uncovered her knee, showing blood and dirt. "I tripped on the way down here." It hurt her so much she felt like she could barely walk. She tried to stand up again but her injury hurt too much and she fell again.

 

Saix was thinking of what to do. "we need to go to your house. there, we'll wash and bandage your wound." he picked her up as though she was as light as a doll. "which way...?" Saix asked

 

"The small one at the end of this hill..." Raiu held on to him with sadness and her grip tightened because of her wound. "It hurts... so much."

 

Saix held her tightly to make sure she wouldn't fall. "i know. don't worry. i'll try and fix it the best i can." they reached Raiu's house. the diviner leaned against the door with his shoulder to open it. he walked inside and entered the kitchen area. he set Raiu on a chair and went to get some water. when he returned, he set the bucket of water down and set a rag on the table. "do you have antibiotic ointment and bandages?" Saix asked.

 

"Um... yeah. I think there's something over there." She pointed to a small chest in the corner. The sharp pain came again and she held her leg as she groaned. Just having it in water hurts. But it was better to have it clean then infected.

 

Saix retrieved the ointnent and bandages. he got the rag wet and gently cleaned the wound. he was trying to be careful not to hurt her.

 

Raiu trembled a little bit as Saix cleaned up the wound as it did hurt a lot. "Sorry... it just really hurts." She didn't get it. He was a Nobody, some being who was unable to feel. Yet it seemed like he was actually being kind to her. "You're... being so kind. You're not the Nobody I thought you were gonna be. I expected all Nobodies to be... cruel, cold and vicious. But... you're different Saix."

 

Saix kept cleaning the wound. "i'm not usually like this... it feels rather strange...." Saix finished cleaning the wound. he took out the ointment. he took a glove off one hand and put some on his finger. "this may sting a little."

 

Raiu held her pain inside as the medicine did sting. She didn't even realize as it did sting quite a bit. She hated chemicals that stung her especially when she was hurt. But then she calmed down as she got used to it. "Are there... Nobodies like you out there?"
