Heart of the Knight

The Joker laughed, and then got off the stage. "What now?" he asked.

 

"Ooooh! I know! Let us gather more playmates!"

 

"Sure," Joker said.

 

"Oh!! Id like to have a go at singing!" Phobia pulled a trampoline out of her hat, hopped on it, and flipped onto the stage. "I wonder what I should sing? Oh!! I know!" Phobia started to sing "The Show" by Lanka.

"I'm just a little bit caught in the middle! Life is a maze, and love is a riddle! I don't know where to go, can't do it alone, I've tried! And I don't know why~~

Slow it down, make it stop! Or else my heart is going to POP! Cuz it's to much, yeah, it's a lot--

to be something i'm not!

I clapped brielfly, and then jumped onto the stage myself. "Come Hattie, let's go gather some more playmates."

 

Phobia tilted her head to the side. "Hattie?" She questioned, but laughed out loudly. "How fun! A nickname! I'll call you "Chirps" then, because thats what song birds do!" She followed after the two, walked towards the door.

 

"Where should we start?"

 

"Why don't we ask the senior of all these fun and games! Where would you go to look for play-mates, Mr.Joker?"

 

(OOC: Okay here goes nothing.)

Cloud rode along the streets of Gotham wondering how on earth did he get here? Did the worlds clash or did he get knocked out for some reason and end up here? Shrugging his shoulders he decided to continue to find out more about where he was at.

Off in the distance near a water fountain, Demyx was admiring himself in the reflection of the pool as he watched people pass him by. He must of taken a wrong turn somewhere since he last sent on a mission and ended up in a new world. Shrugging his shoulders he didn't think it would be so bad. His gaze caught a music store in the distance as ran into it and starred at all of the cds and different genras of music. "Wow this place is so cool," he placed on the headphones and began listening to techno bobbing his head up and down, while swaying his hips and shoulders.

 

Axel viewed a water fountain as he gazed at some birds eating at dried bread crumbs and pop corn that an old lady was feeding them. He cringed in disgust at the scavengers pigeons and walked away from them. He didn't want to worry about what these nasty birds did when they are in flight. If they did they would be roasted turkeys stuffed for the holiday. He was kind of hungry over thinking about it, but then thought about what they ate and his appeitite then decreased from the vision. Rolling his eyes at the situtation of other immature people blowing out flatuence on each other and laughing aboout it as they walked by. The putrid smell drifted in his direction as he took a sharp turn to get a way from the toxic gas. "Humans are nasty," He closed the store door and saw someone dancing in the distance. He noticed that it was Demyx and smiled at him obseving his dancing moves. He decided to join in.

Leon walked down the street whisting a happy tune as he observed the rush hour traffic and people hurrying off to do what their leisurely duties or obligations. He heard an motocycle engine on his way and spotted Cloud riding on it. "Hey Cloud, where are you heading?" He ran to catch up with him since he was at a traffic light.

 

Phobia didn't bother to wait for an answer from Chirps, or from Joker. She had ways of getting peoples attention. But for now, she was just bored. She waltsed right out the front door, and walked her way down the streets of Gotham. The "normals" always shot her dirty looks, called her a punk, but she could care less. " "No one can help but to be among Mad people, Alice." " Phobia gently quoted. She walked over to a square, where other teens her age stood, talking, playing, singing; the like. The walked to a dry area not to far from the fountain, and she took some side-walk chalk out of her hat.

She began to draw scenes of a "brighter" world. She drew Wonderland, the chesire cat, the wicked queen's face when Alice talked her down, the rabbit staring at his pocket watch, the Mad tea party. She also drew a younger version of herself, dancing with the bread-and-butterflies.

A small child ran up to Phobia, and watched her draw.

"What'cha doin'?"
"..Drawing a picture..."
"Of what?"
"Wonderland..."
"It's real pretty."
"Thank you, here. I'll draw you in it too."

Phobia drew the small child dancing around tweedle dee and tweedle dum.
The young boy smiled at Phobia.

"You're real nice, lady."

"More than most people gave me credit for, I'm afraid."

Phobia went back to drawing the large scale chalk picture of wonderland.

 

Cloud stopped at the traffic stop and called for his friend to come over. "Hop on and I'll tell ya." He waited for Leon to get on his motorcycle with him. He made sure the light was still red for he wasn't going to take off until it turned green and if it did the other cars would have to wait until Leon got on safely.

Demyx did the dip, moving his feet now and he was enthralled with the beat of the music. He spotted Axel dancing with him and soon it became a contest of who could dance the quickest and with the most moves. Their fun was cut short when the music died. "What? The song wasn't even over?" He looked around noticing that the store was closing. "Oh no wonder," he laughed.

 

Phobia sat beside the fountain, throwing a coin in.
"May all my dreams come true..." She gently cooed,
before she walked towards the music shop.
Phobia wanted to see how Chirps' CD was doing.
Then she noticed the "we're closed" sign on the shop.
She sighed.
'Jeez... being slow sucks.'

Snapping out of a daze, Peony noticed Phobia had dissapeared.
"Awwww, my playmate left." Pouting, she went on her way towards the park that was just outside the theatre.

 

The Joker let out a laugh. He started to walk down the streets of Gotham. "I'm a clown," Joker thought happily, "And the world's my circus!"

He continued to walk down streets, slowly, taking his merry time as he went. Every now and then, someone would let out laughter... or was that a scream? Ah, well.

 

Phobia sat down on a bench, slightly down.

"Hmm..even if I make a wish... who will make it come true?
This place might be full of laughs,
but I want to go somewhere where people don't mind if your MAD,
and don't make fun if your eyes aren't the same color."
The young Marks heir sighed.

"Things here in Gotham are depressing.
I wonder when someone will shed some light on the subject?"​

 

Leon nodded as he hopped onto the back seat of the motorcycle and waited for Cloud to take over the conversation. He drifted his eyes at the crowed and thought he had seen clown faces. "Hm...this place is very weird. It must be Halloween here." He joked.


Axel was a bit disappointed that the store was closing as well. He was dancing extremely well along with Demyx as he groaned in frusteration. "Aww man, this sucks. I was just getting into a good rythum," He then froze for a second as he heard some kind of strange laughter. It was inhuman to him and kind of sadistic or haunting like. "Oh man, that is one creepy laugh," he let his eyes follow back to his friend. "So, where do you want to go now?"

 

Phobia picked up on the sound of laughing.
"Mr.Joker must've come out to play."
Phobia looked around, and saw people wearing clown masks.
'Hnn..it's not halloween...must been some friend's of Joker's...' Phobia thought silently to herself.
She frowned, seeing some people in the crowd's run off, creeped by the clowns.

Swaying on the swings, Peony hummed a lullaby that her -dead- mother taught her when she was little. She was the only one at the park, and that was the way she liked it... most of the time, anyways.

 

Demyx shifted his eyes almost jumping in place. He was not expecting that. "I heard that laughter also. It was kind of creepy." He stood next to Axel knowing that he could defend him. Looking around at the city he didn't know where they would go next? "I guess we can get something to eat."

Cloud shifted the gears to ease the throttle of the engine. "We should find somewhere safe to stay. I have a feeling we might be here for a long time." He looked for anything suspicious.
