Birth by Sleep Heart color theory

    We've all seen that there are red hearts when a heart is released but we've also seen blue hearts. Here's my thoughts.
    Thought 1. Red= being taken by darkness keyblade or heartless while blue heart is aheart taken away ny an unbirth.

    thought 2. A blue heart is a heart taken by a machine.

    I don't know really. Ansem seemed to know alot on how to take a heart with a machine and turn it into data and he was a researcher so it could be the one he shot at Xemnas' Kingdom Hearts

    Thought 2 sounds better actually. In Ansem's lab, you see blue hearts. Don't you? During Mickey's flashback thing. He probably extracted them himself with a machine(or collected by...well...I don't know how since a Keyblade can only collect hearts). I don't think the color has much to do with anything though.

    I always thought the ones in Ansem's Study were blue because he just had pure hearts around for experimenting on.

    Pure in what sense?
    No darkness?
    So far the only ones of those are the 7 Princesses of Heart.

    I assumed they were floating in a liquid >>
    But the image wasn't distorted as it should be.

    The weird thing is, though, I can't see Ansem the Wise taking a heart from somebody. Unless they volunteered for it and he had them on some kind of life support. Or his hearts could have been fake, a project he was working on to duplicate them. But we currently have no way to know.

    Perhaps theory of the heart color symbolizes how strong the heart is. The lunar heart is blue in BBS but in KH 2, it ranges with yellow, purple, and blue in it.
