Man I swear it's like I've been in every kind of car accident ever and it only happens to me..... My fellow co-worker scared me by being a total stalker and watching me when I wasn't looking. It was night so when I looked up and saw a person just staring at me I literally had a mini panic attack. The A** just laughs. I start up the car and I'm so shaken up and paranoid I hit the car against a pole and the light breaks off. Soooo not only do I have 2 to 3 thousand in car dents which must be fixed I also have to go into work tomorrow and get yelled at for breaking the light. Man I want to cry so bad right now...
TWO TO THREE GRAND IN.. DENTS? That's no even... possible. Either some stuff is broke or you're looking for the wrong people. I mean, you can plunger out some dents even.
The mirror is a bit broken and yes the dents are pretty bad.... Like good god women where you going for 0 to 50 in 5 seconds. Jeez...
There's no way there's two-three grand in dents. You could literally replace the exterior of your car with new fiber glass/metal and paint it for three grand.
The parts are so screwed. I need to replace the door, the back side and bumper, the mirror, and from what I'm told that's 1 to 2 grand. Maybe more was hinted. I'm not really a car person but with my job even that kind of money is jaw dropping.
Did you go to a dealer ship...? Either way, that's um... They saw you coming. With a big target on your shirt. You can replace the entire underside of a car for $300, just to put it in perspective. A door should cost you anywhere from $70-$160. With those estimates, they're charging you out the ying-yang for labor.
Not yet I'm going tomorrow. As well as job hunting. I can't work there anymore. Every accident I get in is literally at my job. And it's a new car so I'm not sure how leased cars work. It's a Honda Civic. 2012 or 13 I think. Does the price change depending on if it's a newer car or not?
Not really. It actually means parts are easier to acquire. Don't go to a dealership, go to a small body shop.
Any type of body shop? So the dealers are a ripe off thanks for the info. I'm going to have to talk with my family and see what they say. Either way I'm a bit more scared to go to work tomorrow...
Dealers charge so much... extra because you're using the dealership. The more of a small time local shop they are the more cheap they generally are. You want to find places that don't charge for just looking at your car.
I don't want half a** service though... And I'm a girl. Those kinds of places, as sad as I am to say it, always bump prices higher when a girl who doesn't know anything walks in.
Yeah so do dealerships. Have your dad take your car or a male friend to a reputable body shop around town. Should be fine. I let my car get fixed by middle aged biker dudes who just happen to own a garage and fix cars. They do great. Truss me, I look like as much of a target as a girl XD
Heh what? That's funny but ok thanks. :) I'm going to have to ask my step dad about that. Man so nervous to see his face tomorrow or should I say today.... It's hella late....
