Having a Soul...

Lately I hear a lot of people talking of weather you have a soul or not. I've been thinking lately about it. And please don't make me even more confused, I have been in deep thought lately about when you die. Tell me, if its confusing but if you don't have what we have called a "soul" then when you die its go completly black, but you wouldn't be able to know its black or what is there because you're dead.

I'm not really sure how to put my thoughts into words because I see it all in images.

I've always believed that the soul and mind are one, and just as death ends all cognitive processes it also ends the mind. You simply can't characterize what many refer to as a "soul" without pulling aspects of thought and individuality into the mix. And those alone are accumulated through our experience in the world.

I think you do. I think that when you die, it turns part of mother nature, or is reborn into another human being.

 

exactly correct , your soul is just a husk of "breath of life" empty without thoughts so the soul is just the "spark" that makes up your thoughts and makes your body run, without a brain or by just being a vegetable you are "souless"

 

same here about the reborn thing except.......u know about cell junk n' stuff it turns out theres another "you" that is either dead or still alive but i'm wondering is like maybe that other you could be really you.......well either way it is confuzling.........

 

"earth returns to earth", so our reason(mind and brain) dies with us , beyond that , i doubt we get reborn, and i doubt we "transcend mortal coil" , but thats just my opinion ,

 

i kinda see it that way but just think..........what happends when u actually die........at first it would be like we're asleep and we never get up but how can u sleep when your dead.......thats why it's like a heaven/reborn thing i'm thinking............

 

um, the same way you sleep normaly?

except without dreams............. its that simple

nothing else.........unless you believe that someday you will wake up..........

thats also a possibility

 

see i'm wondering though like the people who died from a heart attack (like 10 min. later) he is brought back to life............i'm wondering if he has revealed any information to the government.......

 

ummm.....this is my theory and it's PROBABLY stupid and not true but here it goes.....i think a human soul is a gas that's contained inside you and your blood. it carries your consciousness and thoughts and feelings and stuff like that. so.....when you die, your body has lost the capability to contain this gas and then the gas rises up to the air and then becomes clouds? pretty stupid huh?

im sorry, i thought for a second,you were joking ,and i started laughing ,im very sorry , but if it was a gas ,it could be detected,


perhaps our DNA is our soul ?, i mean it carries all our info ,right?


oh, i forgot, you said it becomes clouds ?, if it turned into clouds, woulnt we have a pretty cloudy world ?

ugh!, i just thought something weird, if our soul turned into clouds different personalities would cause different weather conditions as people die?

 

i wouldn't say DNA is our soul exactly....

 

Ok, if you really want to find out about what a soul is and such, then just read the holy bible. It is said that god takes a small piece of his holy spirit and sends it to earth so that a baby will have a soul. This is just stuff I've heard of from the bible.

Now, I agree with White_Rook. The soul and mind are one. Again, if you want an explanation of that too, then I'm going to have to go all bible.

That is true. Then again, it's just my opinion. That and frankly, it's the only explanation I got towards the soul. I mean, why else do you see some movies or shows that have to do with demons and such saying "Give me your soul!!" :/

 

the bible NEVER says that, god is the giver of life , meaning he's our power source ,and that once we die our bodies return to the earth and the breath that gave us life (battery, if you will) returns to him,

what kind of bible do you read!? , babies dont get that breath of life,because they are living inside the mother,but the have it already. the only one wich was given the initial breath of life was Adam, and no one else.

 

EXACTLY!!! The giver of life!! In other words, he does give us something spiritual. LIke a soul, a piece of him. Adam was created from sand itself by god. Eve was created by using a rib from the Adams body. Sheesh... >.>

I can go deeper with this, but not everyone will agree due to different beliefs.

 

i know thats what makes this fun trying to discover the secret to life................see in spain/mexico they beleve that when u die u go to a heaven of where u die like if i drowned i would be in a watery heaven........or if i was struck by lighting it would be all flashy....
