I thought English was a German-based language ? I speak French and I learned Spanish, so I understand Italian a little (also Catalan and Portuguese to a much lesser extent). However German sounds like utter nonsense to me, and so did English before I learned it. When I was a student most (if not all) of my friends thought Spanish was much easier to learn than English because of the Latin common base (whereas in fact English has much less Grammar rules to learn).

Anyway, some scientists tried to lead serious studies about reincarnation. The most known studies are those of Dr Stevenson. However, he himself stated that he didn' t find any proof of reincarnation, at least not in the scientific sense of the word.

On a side note a French Doctor, Dr Charbonier, is convinced that NDE is a genuine phenomenon and he' s planning to lead a scientific experiment about NDE in the Toulouse Hospital to obtain solid proof that people claiming to have experienced a NDE indeed "wandered" in the hospital despite their clinical death (he' ll hide pictures in locked boxes here and there in the hospital to see if the patients claiming to have experienced a NDE can describe them once they "come back"). If they can describe the photos then the skeptics will have a hard time pretending that those people only experienced hallucinations. The same experiment will be led in 20 American hospitals.

Alright, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Catalan, Romanian, Portugese and several other languages are part of the Italic sub family of languages. These languages are all variations of, and derived from, the base of Latin which was spread throughout Europe when the Roman Empire (with its official language being Latin) conquered most all of Europe. After the Roman Empire fell, different countries developed different languages such as English in England, French in France, etc.
Basically all European languages come from Latin in some shape or form.
The internet has more if you want to learn more, but I learnt the origin of the English Language in class last year so I remember most of this from then.

Now if I want to go on further with the language angle again, the case study of a woman living in the midlands of England several years ago, whose name I forget, was hit over the head with a heavy object and knocked out. When she awoke she found she was able to speak fluent French though having little experience in learning it. I've just tried to look for an article on it but with no luck. HOwever I did find this Croation girl able to speak fluent German after waking from a coma.
    Have a read: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...r-wakes-from-coma-speaking-fluent-German.html

Sometimes i feel like i've already experienced something or an event.I feel like is the second time i'm doing or living a certain thing.Definitely odd.But probably it's more related to my past than a past life.

I know I've had strong feelings of deja vu to the point I pay it no mind. I'm not a strong believer in reincarnation, I'll put that out right out.

I think I have memories of WW2 era Germany but than again I have a very active imagination. Which is part of the reason I dabble about with writing. I could have lived as a Nazi officer or been a part of the Allied forces for all I know. Or it could just be a product of my rather vivid imagination.

If it gives people comfort to know that they may be born again, who am I to tell them that they're wrong?

The last time I encountered that feeling of Deja vu was when I held my authentic Iron Cross. These were often plucked off of dead German soldiers for trophies and handed down which is how I got mine. I was randomly looking at it and mind you it's not in brand new shape. Yet for a split second I saw it attached to a man's collar as it would have been worn as it was just awarded.

Objects have been known to carry residual energy of their former owners so it could have been that energy that presented that image. Or again it might have been my imagination. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with saying what occurred there.

English doesn't really sound like the French language, but the grammar is very similar where sentence structure is involved (with a few exceptions, but I digress). German grammar is in a league of its own. I think of English as sort of a mix between Latin and Scandinavian, which is why it's not commonly described as a beautiful-sounding or harsh-sounding language, but rather somewhere in between.

BUT YEAH. I'm thinking those weird moments of French-ness in my dreams are just my subconscious playing around with my knowledge of French. One of my parent's friends told me that she spoke French as her first language when she was really little, and can't remember much of it at all now. But she'll have dreams of her aunt speaking to her in French and she'll understand every word. :/

For myself I'm just not to sure.
I have Deja vu all of the time which is quite annoying.
Cause whenever I may be doing something I think I know that I already did this before.
Also this one time I had Deja vu when watching a movie.
So I then tried to guess the ending and I got it right. -.-
That probably doesn't really mean anything though.

So true. I get Deja Vu almost all the time in my dreams and it won't happen for months or years but when it does I know how the situation turns out so I try to change it to see what happens.

As for a past life, I never cared. I'm living my life right now and when it's over I'll see what happens.

I've had some Déjá vu moments when I know that the moment has never happened to me before. Don't know if that counts.

I've also had memories where I'm a man in his mid 30's using a record player, and I'd never seen a record player before in my life up until that first memory.

I can't explain it, but I have seen things in dreams or meditating in the shower that at some point have come to pass. As for reincarnation, both me and my mother are believers. My mother believes that my soul is very old and has been here many times. She thinks that perhaps the reason I'm here is because I have failed to learn something in my past life, or that there is something in this life I need to learn in order to move on.

Even though I don't believe in those, sometimes I think about if I actually did have a past life. I wonder if I was a famous person or maybe the worlds worst criminal... it's a strange thought...

I've never experienced it myself, but I know someone who gave a detailed account of a rather fantastical past life. I don't believe she'd have any reason to lie to me, and she stuck to the story for a long time; she even said she identified someone as her past life's father. Eventually he became her boyfriend (You hush they're adorable together) and they've had a lasting bond ever since.

To this day I don't know for sure if she was telling the truth. Could be something she came up with to enrich her own life, or maybe something mental. It was fun to entertain the idea, though.

This is interesting. But no, I haven't felt like I already had a past life, and to be honest, I don't believe in this.

Usually there is that Dejá vù. Yes, there is Dejá vù's that I can't remember if I was myself, but I feel like it is... I'm sure it was myself but I don't know how I felt like that moment already had happen.

Hmm, this certainly makes me think, I do believe in past lives and reincarnation but not necesscarily as a human. I believe everyone's had multiple past lives, and at least 5 of mine were connected to animals (cats, dogs, birds, rodents etc.). That's my general view on reincarnation, it's a cycle.

While I don't remember my past lives that I may have had, I do feel connections with certain names where I can link them to relationships which I'm sure some people will say is my past life trying to emerge. The most common name I'll notice is Alex which will correspond with brother, I've had John, Nicholas and Lee correspond as lovers as well as certain other words, illness and fire correspond to Lee and John respectively which might be the way these people (if they did exist) died.
What is good to think about here is the theory that at least everyone's a tiny bit psychic and it manifests in different ways, as in seeing a past life, seeing spirits etc.

I would love to try past life regression to see how much of my past lives I can possibly map out, and I am thinking of doing it at home by myself. You can find guides such as this one scattered all around the internet just by using Google.

I do not have feelings of having a past life. I have memories that I am sure happened, but that no one remembers; these memories are things that happened to me, in this body. I have numerous experiences of feeling like I can control everything, like I am dreaming. I laugh when I get this feeling. I feel that I am a god that limited its power and erased its memory. This world is of my making. It is an enchanting feeling.

I have the devil's luck and nothing happens that could break me. I habitually dig extremely deep holes for myself and get out of them beyond all probability and reasoning. It makes me think deeply. My life has a quality not unlike dreaming. When I get déjà vu, it is extremely familiar. I think that I must be dreaming, or have dreamed of this exact thing. I do not believe that I have experienced it in a past life in reality, only in a memory, and memories are fragile things.

It is interesting, but people who think of past lives think too concretely. It is not a physical thing. If you are going to question your memory, then do it thoroughly. Reincarnation is so limiting.

I've had Jeja vu, but no memories of a past life, unless if I'm a nobody. I sorta believe I was someone, SOMETHING else, in a past life.

dreams and memories are gateways to past lives, maybe even future lives, people aren't entirely sure how dreams can be bent around the raw concept of manipulating or giving you another persons/a past lives memories, it will be a complete mystery until a scientist finds that true meaning that distinguishes that characteristic about a human brain that gives us the ability to look in the past through a past life or someone else's memories, however for now e can only call it a mystery.

There is no evidence of this, what so ever.
Personally, I don't think I did. If so, it would be remarkably similar to the one I have now, as I dream of everyday things that were not remotely possible in the past. Also, I don't believe in reincarnation, so that sort of annuls it all for me, personally.
