Help Have I missed something? What are awards?

When browsing a thread, I noticed that option in between "Forum" and "What's New?"

Can someone explain what it is, and whether it'll be properly implemented at any point?

Oh, and can I have a medal for noticing? :P

It appeared after I posted a reply in this topic, and it hasn't reappeared since.

Well, at least this means it's definitely a new feature, and not one I missed.

 

I thought we were against awards on khv. Since it would go to peoples heads :/

We're playing around with the idea. It could be up tonight, we could abandon it. Right now we're just making some changes and testing it out.

Hmm... I actually don't see that option but I can see it when I click the link. Hmm I like this idea. I don't see it really going to anybody's head because multiple people can get these "pins" where as awards only went to one person.

 

Yeah, it only appeared to me on one page. Although you can easily get to the area by going to your profile, selecting the 'Pins' tab and going from there.

 

Oh, so this is why i got the lovely pink pin?

We have that kind of awards at Kyle XYnet or whatever that place was, i don't remember to be honest, but anyway... But yeah, it didn't go on member's heads. It was barely noticeable to be honest.

 

I found about this through the PM. I clicked to open, but then I thought that one of the members was sending me a virus! Anyway, it was just something about being a Prem which is cool. I guess even the admins are noticing that this place is getting boring. So, to entertain themselves, they created this award system, to watch us attempt to acheive these goals. Soon, everyone's going to start fighting over the pins and then all hell will break loose as it turns into bloodsport! The site will disappear, only breaking into smaller sites, based on each section of the site, but to never be fully completed. Only one person can bring back Kingdom Hearts Videos dot Net.

 

Now watch the post-count sections get spammed by members who want to get the Legendary award. So far only 29 (unbanned) members have it.

 

Will I be able to make fire or read minds with these pins?
