Have Green Day REALLY broken up?

My friend told me Green Day broke up. He says it was ages ago, but I didnt hear about it. Is it true??? Or are they still working on that new album???


lol hopefully this thread will branch out into a conversation about Green Day and similiar music, but I dont know.
Just please answer.

I thought they came out with a new album a bit back. They had a music video for one of their songs.

 

Nah, Working Class Hero was for that Darfur support CD.

If they have...THANK GOD!!! I hate their vocals so much, Good Charlotte is twenty times better, and I don't even listen to them.

 

No, they haven't broken up. They're working on a new album for 08, according to an interview Kerrang! had with Billie Joe.

"in an interview with Kerrang!, Billie Joe Armstrong revealed that 2008 would "be a fair estimate of the release date of their new "Untitled 8th Studio Album"." In October 2007, Billie Joe announced more on this new album, saying he had been writing new material on the piano, and had around 45 songs. He stated he wanted the new music to dig into what he's feeling at the moment - which is middle-aged."

i know you said you're not a fan of GC, and that's very good. But really, i'd have a better time and musical experience by forcing a dentists drill into my ear.

Greenday, while not one of my favorite bands, is pretty good. I like their old stuff better than there new stuff, but there is no band in existance that is so bad that GC can be 20 times better. It just doesn't happen.

 

Lolwut? Who said anything about this? Meh, they're just a random rock band anyway, who pretty much jumped on the rebel America with the American Idiot song. :X

i have been hearing alot about GREEN DAY..

some rumors are:

THEY BROKE UP[ never believed]

THE lead singer was shot by 50 cent [ which i believed at first but it isnt true]

they died in a band car crash[ never believed]

i seriously doubt the fact Billie Joe Armstrong was shot by 50 Cent, and I know they didnt die in a car crash cos billie joe is still in pinhead gunpowder, his other band.

Does anyone think its possible that they broke up, then got back together again - to finish the new album?

 

Dude, they didn't break up. EVER. They just haven't made an album in 4 years. There'll be one coming out this year.

 

I'm sorry, but could somebody tell me a few of their songs? I'm not sure I know them...didn't they do 'American Idiot'?

 

Ummm, I think their newer songs that people would know are American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Holiday, She's a rebel, Wake me up when september ends, etc.


The only old song of theirs i can recall the title of right now is Brain Stew, but i dunno if that helps any.

 

...man, I need to get out more. I don't know any of those songs.

 

Oh, well, that's okay. Greenday is not everyone's kind of band.
