I'm looking for songs where the vocals are almost haunting..

The kind of song that is like breathy, and can either make someone happy or sad when they listen to it. Sort of like Let Go by Frou Frou, or basically any song by Imogen Heap. A lot of people will have heard that song, and I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about. It's hard to explain what I mean, but I hope someone understands.

I only know of Frou Frou and Sarah Mclachlan.

    Can anyone recommend some?

My Immortal by Evanescence is really haunting. The feeling of the words are echoed in the way it's sung. It sounds sad and lonely.

I'd definately suggest the song Nothing can be Explained, used on the 1st Bleach OST...

The Instrumental Version used in the show was great, with a bit of an eerie sound to it.. But the Vocal Version sounds much more 'haunting', I dunno, I didn't like it as much, but it fits your description quite well...

Uh, Emilie Simon is sorta like that. She sings in french though, but in some songs she attempts (crappy) english :3

Thanks for the recommendations, peoples :3

But, yeah.. Evanescence are one of my fav. bands, so I already have all their stuff. But My Immortal definately fits the description of what I'm looking for as being 'haunting'.

And Alice, I gots Dir En Grey's stuff too >:3 KASUMI<33

Rokuvsriku.. D< *slaps round back of head* :p I didn't mean haunting as in creepy, I meant it as in.. Gah, too hard to explain T.T

Love Song For A Vampire - Annie Lennox (agree 100%. gooood)

Stay - Shakespears Sister (*hiss* D< how dare they recommend such cheese)
