Kingdom Hearts II Hate Ansem or Like?

I dont like him for doing stuff to poor Roxas....

 

For me, it's a love/hate thing. His intentions were good, but I didn't like what he did to Roxas. It seemed a bit harsh, even if it was to 'help' Roxas.

 

He gave more than he took away. He gave Roxas his fake Twilight Town, did he not? He let him go to the beach too. And he gave Riku a place to stay. And then, even by accident, he made Riku's body go back to it's orginal state.

the Xehanort Ansem is the one I hate...
and Xemnas...dont even get me started...

He didn't let Roxas go to the beach. That is what Riku and DiZ argued about because Riku thought it would be a nice thing for him to do. Ansem felt he should not though because of the Organization finding weaknesses in the system and getting through so it never happened.

However, I will say I understood Ansem and felt sorry for him. He was angry and wanted revenge which I could understand. After all, he thought he was doing a good thing and it turned out to be a very poor decision that caused a disaster with Xehanort releasing Heartless, creating Emblem Heartless, his loss of good friends in his apprentices and their succumbing to Darkness, and his world that he seemed to adore. Not only was he vengeful though, but placed the blame on himself too for being foolish and naive. It wasn't like he blamed the apprentices for it all. He had a fair share of the blame and he knew it.

I did feel he was biased against the Nobodies, but all things considered, I could understand why he felt as he did. He also used Riku who had to make it clear to him he wasn't going to do that and Riku did try to help him get out of the motions he was employing, which at the end he acknowledged, along with King Mickey's help. He was a guy that was misled, heart broken and sacrificed himself. So, despite how some people believe he's so bad, he lost a ton of things including his life and home due to what started out as just a scientific study which was also initially meant to help Xehanort. I can't find it in me to hate the guy.

 

I don't care about him. I mean...Seriously I sort of ignored his existence the whole time I was playing Kingdom Hearts, until I had to fight him in the first game...I just...He's suckish...

 

Knowing he's voiced by Christopher Lee makes it impossible to hate him...

 

I dont mind him but.....What he did to Roxas was...Mean >.<

Plus, he scares me sometimes ._.

 

I think he was a tool for revenge, and nothing else.

His arrogance ticked me off...

 

That made me kind of laugh...the guy who thinks Saix is so great hates Ansem for arrogance. *snickers and runs off before retaliation*

 

Siax wasn't really arrogant though...

He never said anything like, "I am a servant of the worlds, and you are a tool at best."


Ansem was self centered. Org XIII is often critizied for being self centered and greedy... but they have nothing on Ansem. He was willing to endanger worlds so he could have revenge.

Think of all those hearts he destroyed in the explostion! Dude... that is an attrocity. Org XIII never destroyed hearts...

(Ok... lets stop talking about Org XIII before IT happens again...)

 

I liked him... Even though he was kind of harsh to Roxas, his intentions were good, and he really helped Mickey and Riku alot... :)

 

i think the only reason i hate him is because he talks so - old timey like in the middle ages

and he did use roxas... that was a bit harsh

Well his beliefs were pure, that much is sure.

He was mean to Roxas because Roxas was a Nobody. He treated him meanly, because he could. Same with Namine.

He started off experimenting with hearts, but soon discovered what he was doing was wrong, and tried to stop the experiments. His apprentices locked him in the world of darkness, then unleashed heartless everywhere. I can see why he wants revenge.

At the end, ICSP, DiZ did not kill all those hearts, they merely became heartless. And when it comes to making heartless, the org cannot talk. They did theirs on purpose!

But I digress.

Ansem the Wise is likely to return iin kh3. You know that. A massive explosion of light, with DiZ staying in it because that's what his heart told him? Not a traditional real death scene. In video games, unless there is a bloody mass with the body remaining, limp and lifeless, the character is still able to return. I call shenanigans.

 

In a way I like Ansem, but I dislike him more. What he did to Roxas (even if it was for the greater good) was cruel. And I know why he would want revenge, but you would think he would learn that it isn't worth it. And he talked about using Sora for his own gain, didn't he?

Anywho, no, he's not my favorite character.

Roxas wasn't picked on that bad. Poor Roxas.... he got picked on by some guy that lost his homeworld, was betrayed by the people now who head the Organization and that group is doing rotten things to others. Not only that but Ansem's name was used miserably, his utter reputation and all smeared, his life unwritten before him and the Heartless went to droves of planets causing tons of harm.

I'm sorry but poor Roxas being 'picked on' and going back to Sora, which he should since he came from him... is a lot less of a horrible thing than what the Organization did. Yes, I feel bad for Roxas and all, but when people say he wanted revenge on the Org and how could he... his life and other people's were destroyed by it. Also, he has a Heart. It was torn and hurt. He realized the errors of seeking revenge. He also messed with Riku in CoM and tried to get him to fight in a disguise of Heartless Ansem/Xehanort, and said some rotten things to him too, but in the end, after understanding the man's story, I don't see why he doesn't get any more sympathy. He didn't ask for the bad stuff to happen. Whatever 'Xehanort' is, he was a lost remnant with no memory from BBS and Ansem seriously got screwed out of kindness. As I said, he admitted his guilt and wrong doings. The Org would not. As much as I like the Org, I still can like Ansem/DiZ. He was wronged horribly.
