Kingdom Hearts II has anyone noticed...

that promise in kh: CoM namine and sora make that promise but in kh: 2 they never kept up the promise?

 

What was the promise again?

 

To see each other again.

And they did, but it was Sora's other half, Roxas, which saw her.

And they kind of saw each other at The World That Never Was... when Roxas and Namine, to put it bluntly, popped out and said hello then each went back into Sora and Kairi.

In a way, they did see each other since Roxas is Sora and Kairi is Namine

 

But sora dont technally remember so technally it was by accident lol

 

When Roxas and Sora became one, Sora remembered everything about the events in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. In Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix, a scene is shown before the Armored Xemnas boss for the second time. He said he was sorry for not remembering her earlier and not thanking her. I think that's what he said, sorry but I got bad memory. xD

Well, in a way, they did, in the World that Never Was, Sora saw Namine, so there, he kept the promise. Not trying to sound harsh, but the way Sora had 'fulfilled' this promise was pretty lame. I mean, he promised her, but he never truly completed it. Although how can you blame him? Namine had made him forget his promise so he couldn't fulfill it...not that it's her fault. In order for Sora to get all his memories back, Namine had to make him lose his other ones, so that is why Sora couldn't remember. But, all in all, Sora had half-fulfilled the promise, but he couldn't really as he had forgotten a lot of his memories...well, not really forgotten...more like in the back of his head.
Okay, I'm done rambling about in now.

 

Well I think Namine did fufil the promise but through Roxas since Roxas is Sora.

 

I remember that! Yeah.

And also, Sora FINNALLY fulfilled his promise with Kairi at the end of KH2 when he returned to Destiny Island (his promise was to come back to her on Destiny Islands).

He did fulfill the promise I think, though.

 

Simple answer, Sora saw a transparent Namine.

Maybe he thanked her when they got back to the Destiny Islands, but it was shown off-screen. I just know that Sora felt guilty for not saying thanks to Namine earlier. xD
