Yeah I heard about this on TV! I thought that was interesting (and somewhat ironic).

Loony Luna Lovegood- You know you love her

Who loves miss luna from Harry Potter? Saw the movie, read the book, she's still my favorite ^^

Did you know she's (Evanna Lynch, the person who plays her in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) not a professional actress, and had never acted in her life?

    Copied and pasted from Wikipedia:
Lynch is a huge Harry Potter fan and, according to her family, is obsessed with the series. As a younger child, she constantly wrote to J.K. Rowling, and in one such letter the youngster commented how much she would love to act in a Harry Potter film but doubted this would happen as she lived in "this sleepy little place called Termonfeckin, where nothing ever happened". To Lynch's surprise, Rowling replied, saying "Don't be too hard on Termonfeckin; it does have a brilliant name! And I come from a very sleepy place."

In 2003, aged eleven, Lynch was disappointed that she would miss the release of the fifth book in the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as she had been hospitalised. However, the hospital released her for the morning of the launch and a local bookstore arranged for her to receive a copy signed by author Rowling.

As soon as she found out about the auditions, she tailed her butt down there, and actually got the part! ^^

She reminds me and my mom of Glenda the Good Witch from Wizard of Oz. :)

I laughed my *** off on that xD I still remember those threads you made about Christians critisizing HP lol

And I'm a bit speechless to the "Dumbledore is gay" thing xD No one would ever expect something like that.

Luna is one of the best characters in the book and personally one of my favourites. And the actress was really good in the movie. Her story proves that dreams come true, as long as you try.

As for Rowling replying and saying that Termonfeckin has a brilliant name it's because of her obsession with strange names. I've read her biography ten times. But to say that in a letter..? lol

Luna and Harry? Nonononono. Luna and Neville should be the couple in question. ^^

They'd be so cute together ^^

Yeah, I knew a lot about Evanna, though I didn't know about the whole hospital thing. She was talked about non-stop on the PotterCast podcast for the longest time after the promo pictures of her in costume and the "They're called Thestrals" line were released.

Anyway, Luna is actually one of my top 5 favorite HP characters. She's second behind Snape.

I kind of agree on that but sadly it doesn't happen. Luna married Rolf Scamander, grandson of Newt Scamander and Neville married Hannah Abbott.

I remember reading about all that ages ago. It's truly amazing and miraculous that she got the part. I doubt anyone could have done a better job.

She's a pretty amazing actress for never doing it before.

I love the way she perfectly captures the dreamy, out-of-it "Luna" voice. Exactly the way i imagined it.

I actually thought Dumbledore had a relationship with Mcgonnagall (sp?), but when I read the seventh book, It does make sense. But Neville shouldn't have married Hannah, why would someone live in a pub?

Yeah Snape (Won't say anything else about it because you haven't finnished it yet.) And Jo has revealed those two pairings. I'm just playing messenger here since someone mentioned the Luna/Neville ship.

    ~SPOILER WARNING~

Another warning! This post may offend Draco lovers!
I am not happy at all with the last book! For one thing, Fred, Tonks, and Lupin all died D: For another thing, Draco did not die. For a third thing, yes, the epilouge was definately cheesy. "All was well"? If not the entire epilouge, she couldve done without that.

But, other than all that stuff, it was a great book. When Fred died, i very shocked. When lupin and tonks were declared dead, i was very, very sad, and quite angry. Man, but did i love the part where Mrs. Weasly killed Bellatrix, and she screamed at her? i laughed ^^

And i have to say this, even though there is probably no coincedence between Harry and him- Ted, did you notice that, like Harry, his parents were both killed by Voldemort?

Okay, i'm done rambling now. ^^
