"I'm the last of my kind," Aerith said. "Guard this area, while I'll pray and try to break the seal." She walked up to the shine.

 

"Sure. . " Kairi walked around with Riku and watched for others that might come.

 

Aerith reached and got on her knees, starting to pray.

"Tell me what this place is, Kairi." Riku said.

 

"This is where Yuna and I saw the future of this planet. . ." Kairi said still looking around.

 

"Or the past, when Professor Gainsborough died."

 

"Both. . ."She said

 

"The past and the future........" Riku said.

Fairy Hermione flew up to Aerith, and saw her pray.

 

"Yes. . ." Kairi said. She looked back to see if Aerith was still praying and she was.

 

"Wasn't she like that when she died?" Riku asked, looking at her.

 

"I don't know I wasn't there when she was alive. . I was with you and Sora. . "

 

"She was......" Cloud walked up and stared at Aerith. "I couldn't protect her......"

 

Kairi just listened to Cloud talk.

 

"As Kairi saw, two years ago, I came here to see Aerith, while I helplessly watched her pray, Sephiroth came down from above and stabbed her, through here." He put his hand on his heart.

 

"Oh my god. . .that's terrible. ."

 

"That's how I got the 'wound'......." Cloud walked up to the shrine, as Aerith stood up.

 

Kairi turned around to give them privacy. "So how's it going Riku?"

 

"Fine." Riku smiled.

"Cloud.........." Aerith stared at him.

 

"Let's give them some time alone. ." She started to walk away.

 

"Yeah." Riku walked with her.
