Let's hope it won't happen and that this time will get a good film. Especially since it's gonna be the last one.

Actually, if it's in two parts that probably means that they will put more of the story in it. The more the better. :)
Either that or they're gonna screw it up royaly.

Didn't they say that they were going to do this with Goblet of Fire? <_>

I'd prefer it if they didn't do this anyway. If Order of the Phoenix worked as one film I'm sure DH will.

if they did break DH into 2 movies....where would they make the cut at? And they've mentioned doing this since goblet of fire and not matter which way you slice it, stuff will be left out of the movie (i've wanted to see quidditch for i can't tell you how long)

But if they did....it had better be released back to back....but this raises another thought, would you be willing to spend 14+ bucks on a movie when you can watch the 3 hour version for half that?

I would rather have one movie, but you never know. And since they have been saying this since the Goblet of Fire, it probly won't happen.

    Gurrr...

Order of the Phoniex would have worked better had they made it longer and put in my god freaking flashback.

But I seriously don't think they'd do that to Deathly Hallows. The book is too uneventful for them to have two movies. <_> And what would it be called? Deathly Hallows & Deathly Hallows II?

Order of the Phonix had the most action so far though. I don't think D.H. would be split into 2 movies, just a
    REALLY long movie.

Nah. It'll lose hype big time. Best making it one movie.

    Another 3 freakin' hours?!?!

As long as it doesn't become as long and winded as Titanic. God, that was a long (and freakishly boring) movie!

...Well, so was Sound of Music, but that ended up being a classic.

  10. Hey, I love Titanic! D=...okay, so admittingly nothing was that interesting until the ship began to sink, but it was meant to be a romantic story T-T.

I think that DH being split in two parts is just a rumor. That would just be odd anyway, going to the first part one day, and then the next when it comes...? They could just simply make it longer than their usual movie length, if Titanic and The Sound Of Music can be long (King Kong and LOTR as well), I think they can fit the most important plot parts without wasting so much film to be divided.

I mean, in DH, most of it is just waiting in tents, hiding, trying to figure out where the next Horcrux is.

I don't think it would be boring as an one three hours film. I mean LOTR films were about that long in order to put in the movie as much as possible and they weren't bad. If this was needed in a movie though, this was the fifth one which ended up being the smallest film. It had so much things and they showed nothing.

But i don't think it needs to be that long either. As *TwilightNight* said, a big part of the book is about hiding in different places.

That's what they should have been doing a long time ago >_>
They leave so much out I'd rather watch a two part movie that's good than a short ****** movie <_<

    I'm totally for this idea.

Guillermo Del Toro & Steven Spielburg FTW ^o^

    Two movies=more from the book.

I would much prefer watching two separate ridiculously long Harry Potter movies in place of one compact one. Something like this ought to have been done starting at the Goblet of Fire. The scenes are choppy and the actors run around so much it seems as if they are actually out of breath.

I really hope this is not just a rumor.

There's no good place to end the first part. That would be really frustrating to stop it in the middle of the movie, then have to wait so long for the next part.

Doubt it. It would totally sucked if they did it. If it did, it would prolly advertise the second part like a soap opera:

"Next time on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Harry goes more angst then ever? Will Ron actually bag Hermione?"
