"Thanks. Sorry I'm late... I kidda just remembered," said Layla.
She used the pinball machine to get to the secret base.
"What'd I miss?" she asked.

 

"Well, Luna taught me how to fight, so I know how to defend myself. I can sing, think of a lot of stories I'd like to write and most of the time, I usually write to Rufus, my half-brother." Serenity said, smiling. "I made a new friend in one of Hojo's 'spicemen', he was a young boy with black hair and the brightest green eyes. I'm sure he's probably out of Shinra Building now. Oh, I'm friends with the Turks and Soldiers."

Harry made a sneeze and thought to himself, 'Someone's talking about me. Better not be Luna back home.'

 

Lent listened to her, showing interest.
"That's awesome. I imagine you're pretty tough." he smiled and laughed.
"...but I imagine that you can sing beautifully.
I'd love to be able to hear some of your stories too."
He though about the Shinra company. "Yeah, that's true... Rufus would be your brother huh?"
He then thought about the boy she mentioned. He had gotten a glimpse of him just before he and Silver had departed from the lab floor earlier.
"Heh, the Turks are pretty cool. And of course, you know my views on Soldier. You can at least consider one more member of Soldier a friend anyway." he told her.

 

"We have never met in person, though." Serenity said. "On top of that, the people think I'm the daughter of the mayor. Just a lousy idea by my real father to hide the fact I'm the result of one of his affairs. But through the letters I wrote to Rufus, he seems like a nice person."

 

Tifa smiled and nodded. "Just a minute. I'll make one for you."
She mixed him a drink behind the counter, then brought it to him at the bar. After a moment, she said, "You know, I'm relieved you made it back safely."

 

"What's with you all of a sudden? That wasn't even a tough job." Cloud said to her, as he took a long sip from the drink she had made him.
...Pretty good.

"Well..." Lent wasn't too sure of what to say.
"...Complicated stuff, but at least Rufus seems to value you."
He sighed. "I didn't know my parents. I just guess they didn't want me."

 

"You never knew your parents? How sad." Serenity said. "But Harry never knew his parents either. So, that's something you have in common."

"I guess not... You were in SOLDIER." Tifa said, smiling as she started to clean a glass.

OOC: With DPWolf going to be gone, I'll take over for Tifa.

 

Cloud set down his drink after finishing it.

"It seems like a lot of kids are orphans now'a'days."
Suddenly Lent felt someone grab and raise him by his ear.
"owowowwww!"

"I should have known I'd find you slacking off... and bothering Serenity of all people too..
I'm sorry for any trouble he caused you." Silver said sternly, tugging at his ear a little more.

"Jeez Silv, you're gonna pull my ear off!"

Silver's eyes flashed and she tugged a little more.

"I mean Silver ma'am! Gah!"

and with that she released him. She sat down too and ordered a drink for herself.
"Order whatever you like Serenity. It's coming out of Lent's tab."

"I was paying anyway..." Lent pouted, rubbing his ear.

 

"Make sure you get your pay from Barret." Tifa told him.

Serenity smiled, "It's alright, Lent wasn't bothering me at all."

 

"Don't worry. Once I get that money, I'm outta here." Cloud said, while getting up from the bar.

Silver looked slightly amused for a second.
She took a gulp of her drink and looked at Serenity. "I thought I'd tell you.
Potter is safe."

 

"Cloud, are you feeling all right?" Tifa asked, concerned.

Serenity smiled and nodded. 'Then I hope you'll find your friends someday, Harry.' She thought to herself.

 

OOC: er...I'm back now, my inactivity was due to being away. >>

 

OOC: Just reclaim Tifa lol, Aerith only borrowed her to advance the plot.

Leonhardt was within the training room or simulation room, fighting against holographic Soldiers as he cut through some with ease as his golden blade shone and he leapt to the side as were ina crowd. "Don't crowd or I'll get you... Howling Blade!" he called out a she sliced through them and appeared on the other side before an explosion took place and he swung it as the trainee people were less than impressed.

"Shall we try 'that' program which hasn't been used for a while?" One asked as the other nodded and the simulation room changed to a barren landscape and Leonhardt looked around and heard an audible roar as he turned around, seeing a Behemoth. "..." he was quiet, brandishing his blade in prepartion.

 

"Don't worry. Once I get that money, I'm outta here." Cloud said, standing up.

"Of course, I didn't tell you such information. You don't even know of it, in fact." Silver said to her as she stood up.
"Lent, we're leaving. Pay the bill and then we will escort Serenity back.
After that, you'll have a training session throughout the night to make up for this indiscretion."

Lent sighed. "Yes ma'am." he said as he paid the bill, sweatdropping slightly.
"Of course, I was gonna escort her back anyway."

Silver nodded. "After several hundred detours."

"Hey, she's never been outside the building before. What's so wrong about letting her-"

Silver stopped him with a hand. Her expression looked almost sad and understanding for a second... almost, if it had been there, it had vanished just as suddenly. "Nothing at all."
She sighed.. "Serenity, is there anywhere you wish to go before we return you home?
A detour or two isn't completely out of the question I guess.."

 

"Not really. It was so fun, being outside the building for once." Serenity smiled and looked around the area, hoping whatever Harry was, he was okay and with his friends.

 

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." Lent said smiling.

"Heh, it seems you can do something good for once."

"Heh, cheers."

"You still have training tonight."

"Dammit!"

 

Serenity giggled at them and went back to the Shinra Building. She was sure Luna was waiting.

 

Leonhardt rolled froma claw of the Behemoth and readied his sword and sliced at the claw, gettign a response from the creature and he shone his blade. "HOWLING BLADE!" He cried out and sliced through it, explosion occured and swung aroudn as it feel and the simulation broke apart to reveal it was abck to normal as he sheathed his Golden Blade.

 

Serenity waved goodbye to Lent and Silver when they reached the Shinra Building, she mouthed that Lent should come and visit her on the Mayor's floor. Luna came up and took her back to her room on the Mayor's floor. Serenity entered her room and sat at her desk, staring at the materia lying on the top. She sighed and picked up one, remembering the raven haired soldier who gave her the bag of materia and promised to send her letters. But it had been so long, she had forgotten his name and his face.

 

Lent noticed Serenity's little message and kept a mental note in his mind.
He wanted to go and see her, but... well... Silver was right there.. and she was going to put him into a training session of hell. No way would she overlook such a thing.

"I saw what she mouthed to you by the way.." Silver told him calmly.

"Wha? I uh... she didn't mouth anyth-" Lent said in shock trying to cover it up, only to be interrupted.

"Go."

"...
..
.
...Huh?"

"She needs a friend like you. Someone who won't treat her differently because of her status. Someone who will treat her just like a normal girl.
But also... even you are fully capable of protecting her if need be." Silver told him.

"Uh... thanks."

"You owe me.
Tomorrow. Your training session will be ten times as long and ten times tougher than normal."

"Yes ma'am.."

"And Lent.
Remember... she's the presidents daughter. You try and get too close to her, it will only spell trouble for you, and I'm not bailing you out."

Lent sweatdropped.
