"Sure I am." Serenity smiled, Luna smiled and rubbed her hair.

The soldiers tried to fight Cloud, but always lost. They surrounded him, it seemed apparent he had nowhere else to run.

 

"That's as far as you go." an enemy shouted.

Cloud tutted. "I don't have time to be messin' around with you guys."

"Enough babbling! Grab him!"

The soldiers close in. Cloud backs away, but his path is blocked as he reaches a railing. Below him are the train tracks.
Cloud jumps off the balcony onto the train as it rushes by.

"Sweet!" he cheered then stopped... "Uh... I only thought this far..." he realised... Now what?
"Um..." he realised he was looking more like an idiot by the second. He scratched the back of his head. "You got anywhere you wanna go or something you wanna do or something?"

 

"Actually, I have never been out of the building before." Serenity said, embarrassed.

Barret, Ron, Wedge, Biggs, and Jessie were in the car littered with crates and junk. Wedge said, "Cloud never came." "Cloud..... Wonder if he got killed?" Biggs wondered.

 

"No way!!" Barrett answered him.

Jessie couldn't help but sigh, especially after he had saved her, twice for that matter. "Cloud..."

There is thumping on the roof of the car. Barret glances up.

"Aha! You need say no more then." he then glanced at Serenity's companion. "Um... that's okay right?" he asked.
"I mean, she shouldn't have to stay cooped up in a building like this, that's just wrong." he explained.
He looked at Serenity again, pumped a fist and gave an encouraging smile. "Don't worry. If you wanna go outside, I'll be happy to take you. It's a promise."

 

Leonhardt turned his head and looked at Silver. "You can report me to Shinra if you so wish, but, a soldier shouldn't just follow the orders of his higher-ups, one must make their own choices, woudl you choose to save a life of a young one or ignore it because your duty compelled you to do so? When people first wanted to become a SOLDIER and reach First Class, they dreamed their desires to what they could achieve to themselves and the people, I do not cower behind my family's name, if I am to be branded a traitor to my country, so be it but I chose to save a life rather than stand by and let it die or go to waste." he said calmly. "I know what the consequences will be brought upon me but I had a feeling Hojo's 'time' would take the boy's life, he's only still young and have you seen the state of his body? He's almost as thin a skeleton and doesn't even have much strength or a weapon to defend himself, why his relatives gave him leftovers of their own food only serves to beg the question, does the boy deserve more torturous comings or be given the chance to become stronger not by pain but by his own choice and determination?" He asked Silver.

 

"Say, do you think Cloud's... Going to fight to the end for AVALANCHE!?" Biggs asked.

"Go with him, Serenity. I don't mind waiting for you." Luna said, Serenity smiled and took Lent's hand.

 

"The hell would I know? Do I look like a mind reader?"
Barrett hits a crate with his fist.
"Hmph!! If y'all weren't such screw-ups..."

Wedge had to ask, "Hey Barret! What about our money...?"

Barret hits the crate again.

"Uh, nothin'... sorry. Ahh......." Wedge said awkwardly.

The train door opens and Cloud flips into the car from above.

"Cloud?!"
"Cloud!!"
"Cloud..."
"Cloud!!" They all said in shock.

"Looks like I'm a little late." Cloud muttered, uncaringly.

"You damn right, you're late!! Come waltzin' in here makin' a big scene!" Barrett shouted angrily.

"It's no big deal. Just what I always do."

"Shi't! Havin' everyone worried like that you don't give a damn 'bout no one but yourself!"


"Hmm..... You were worried about me!" Cloud asked.

"Wha!? I'm takin' it outta your money, hot stuff!"
He walks to the center of the car.
"Wake up! We're movin' out! Follow me!"
He exits the front of the car.

"It will be an honour to escort you, mi'lady" Lent said jokingly, putting on a voice.
He blushed slightly as she took a'hold his hand. She really was so cute.
He started walking through the building with her. "...So. You've really never been outside?"

Silver just closed her eyes, then looked up and looked at the Plate above them.
"You misunderstand. I have no interest in getting involved. I merely wanted to see if you were resolved to your choice.
..That boy, is stronger than you think and is worth more than that fool Hojo is aware. He has a great fate ahead of him..."
She looked at Leo again.
"Soldier is no longer the same as it was... Sometimes I wonder. What are we even doing?
...Only the Turks remain remotely unchanged. Although... Cissnei still feels the pain of the past."

 

"Hey, Cloud! You were great back there!" Wedge said before he followed, Biggs said, "Heh heh.... Cloud! We'll do even better next time." He followed Wedge, Jessie went to the door, she said, "Be careful, I'll shut this." She closed the door and looked at Cloud's face, "Oh, Cloud! Your face is pitch-black....." She wiped his face, "There you go! Say, thanks for helping me back there at the Reactor!" She followed her companions.

Serenity nodded, "I never left this building before."

 

The train intercom comes on.
Last train out of Sector 8 Station. Last stop is Sector 7, Train
Graveyard. Expected time of arrival is 12:23 AM, Midgar standard time...

Barret and the others come into the next car and sit down. They disturb a
well-dressed, official looking man.
"This is why I hate the last train. Hoo-boy..."
He leaves.

"Well... that's about to change." he said as they reached the front doors.
"You ready for your first taste of life on the outside?" he asked her, smiling again reassuringly.

 

"Hey, Cloud. You want to look at this with me? It's a map of the Midgar Rail System. Let's look at it together. I'll explain it to you. I like this kinda stuff. Bombs and monitors... you know, flashy stuff." Jessie smiled.

Serenity smiled and nodded.

 

"I know that about Harry...and you are right, SOLDIER's like...we're an army to the highest bidder and not what we all originally we desired to do." Leonhardt said, he did meet the Turks on a few missions, but the most known Turk he worked alongside with Cissnei, despite her looking so young and so skillful of her shuriken, last eh recalled, she was living with Zack's family as she said it was 'something that he only asked of her, not as a SOLDIER but a man seeking to protect those close to him'

Leonhardt thought back, Zack Fair's resting place was easily known by the mass of Shinra's troops gunnign him down on the cliffs on Midgar, one 'subject' was deemed to be of no danger, if he recalled, it was an infantryman but their names weren't well known, only ones are more known are First Classes or Second's or the Board of Shinra's goverment.

 

The train stopped in the station, Jessie stepped out and stretched.

Serenity stepped out and looked around, she smiled at Lent.

 

Cloud looked at the map along with Jessie.

Lent walked with her through the front doors of the building. "Welcome to the outside. Home of... well... everything really." he grinned like the fool he was.
"We can do whatever you want really. But seriously, you'll love it out here."

"I'm going back..." she started to leave, but then stopped and turned her head to regard Leohardt.
"Be warned though... old ghost's are stirring."

 

Jessie explained everything about the map system to him and how the train worked. The train stopped at their destination.

Serenity smiled and looked around, walking into Sector 8.

 

"No need to worry, or is it you're actually concerned about me?" He asked her as he headed for the station.

 

"This mission was a success. But don't get lazy now. The hard part's still to come! Don't y'all be scared of that
explosion!
'Cause the next one's gonna be bigger than that!
Meet back at the hideout!! Move out!"

"Well, Serenity. What do you think?" he asked, following her.

Silver smirked for a few seconds. "Hmph... I wonder."

 

Harry was putting the finishing touches on his new outfits when he saw a dark skinned man with a gun on his arm come in. He fit Tifa's description and Harry followed her orders, heading for the back room. He changed into the new outfit he made for himself, he wore a long black sleeveless coat with the Gryffindor House symbol on the back, black leather fingerless gloves with silver knuckles, a loose red and yellow necktie around his neck, a white sleeveless shirt, blue pants and black combat boots.

"It's amazing!!!!!!" Serenity smiled.

 

"Yo! Cloud!! Get off your slow-movin' ass!"

Cloud enters the Seventh Heaven, he see's a little girl and a familiar face inside. There is also another guy, with a blue scarf.

"Heh, I'm glad you like it." he stood next to her and stretched. "Today, as celebration for your first time outside. I'll treat ya to anything you like. I got a fair bit of gil. So what do ya say?"

 

"Papa!" The girl shouted, but she hid when she saw Cloud.

Harry waited in the back room, his hands in his pocket. He didn't want to leave until Tifa came for him and sighed.

Serenity smiled and nodded.

 

"No," Tifa said, "I don't trust SOLDIER, or anyone from ShinRa for that matter. But the kid doesn't look like a threat. Even so, keep an eye on him."

She soon heard the train pull into the station and knew that meant the rest of the team was back. She cleared everyone else out of the bar, knowing that no one else could be around when they came in. Tifa gave a small smile when she saw Cloud enter, and said gently to Marlene, "Aren't you going to say anything to Cloud?"
The little girl showed no movement, so Tifa looked back up to Cloud and said, "Welcome home, Cloud. Looks like everything went well. Did you fight with Barret?"

Nanaki snarled. He hated Hojo, and he hated the name he was given, but he was not about to speak to the sick man. Instead, he bared his fangs and lashed a sharp-clawed paw at the man's legs. The swipe missed, but he let out a roar that he hoped would send the scientist away.
