"I'll try." Young Cloud told her.

Ron looked over at Layla, he didn't know her very well, but he figured that's why she was asking him about his story.
"Well... it's a long story to tell... and you probably wouldn't believe me." he said to her, running a hand through his red hair.
He wondered how Harry and Hermione were doing...
little did he realise that Harry was actually upstairs, hidden in the back room.

"Well um... I guess, you have other things to do now.. huh?"

 

"Well It seems that we have time. If you want to share I'd be happy to listen," Layla smiled
"And I'm good with believing the unbelievable,"

 

Ron looked at her for a second.
"Alright then. Well, first of all... I'm not actually from this world.
The world I come from is kinda of like two sides of a coin. The Wizarding side and Muggle side.
We don't have these cities like Midgar or the plate and so on... We don't have Mako or the life-stream either.
We do however have magic in our world, although... we don't need Materia to use it. So our worlds aren't that different from eachother, but at the same time... they are...
Muggles are basically. Normal people who know nothing about the wizarding world. My Dad is obsessed with Muggle stuff.
I would give you more of a history about Muggles and us... but... well..."
He stopped, thinking to himself that Hermione would be better suited to tell this sort of stuff.
"Anyway... My best friend... Harry, we lost his God-Father... or at first, we thought we did.
He fell through the veil back in our world... and he just vanished. We thought he had died...
but no... it seems he might actually be in this world somewhere.
Harry went after him... so me and our other best friend Hermione, went after Harry."
Ron paused as he thought things through.
"The three of us got separated.
Barret found me wandering around the slums anyway.
Some members of Shinra in suits... uh... the Turks was it? Well... they were trying to capture me... like they knew I wasn't from this world. They talked about some Hojo or something and experiments.
Anyway, Barret helped me fend them off. He was interested in my skills and invited me to join Avalanche.
I figured, it's safer for me to stick with these guys and that I may come across Harry and Hermione if I help them anyway... so yeah."
He looked at her, wondering if she would believe his story or not.
Well if anyone in the room believed his story for that matter. He wasn't even sure if Barret had believed his story...
He had to acknowledge, in this world, it must have sounded pretty far fetched.
Part of him also wondered if he should even tell them about his world.
He could just imagine Hermione lecturing him about telling to many facts too easily. It was surprising actually, Ron even partly missed Hermione's way of lecturing him.

 

Layla looked at Ron in shock as he told his story.
"That's... Amazing! And even though it sounds impossible.... Something in my heart tells me that is really is true!Ron I'm going to help you find your friends and your friend's god-father!" said Layla
"No matter what!" she added
"Now would you like to hear my story?" she asked

 

Leonhardt grunted. "I curse whoever thought this simulation room was a good sparring area..." He said as he had an energy attack come flying at him and he ived tot he side, the scientists decided to pit him against an old simulation of someone who once was here as leonhardt was facing a rapier wielding enemy with red hair, well everything was red for him and Leonhardt knew this man, not from personal times butby the stories.

"Genesis..." He mumbled to himself, just his luck to up against someone lilke this, sure he wasn't the real thing but never judge a simulation by it's cover as the Genesis waved a hand over his blade, lighting aflame and Leonhardt had a few words to say. "Oh sh-" He brought his blade up to defend hismelf as he flung back and ran across the ground even though it weren't real. "Is this my punishment... by Hojo?" he thought to himself, he honestly didn't want to think about it.

 

"Hey, why don't we make a promise? Umm, if you get really famous and I'm ever in a bind..... You come save me, all right?" Young Tifa asked.

Serenity smiled and nodded, waving at him. "I'll see you later..........."

 

Young Cloud looked at her for a second. "What?"

Ron looked at Layla, clearly a little flabbergasted that she did believe him.
"Bloody hell...
Uh, sure."

He started to jog off while looking back and waving at her.
"Let's hang out again sometime." he grinned, nearly bumping into a Shinra employee since he wasn't watching where he was going.

Silver headed to the active simulation room and watched behind the glass.
Genesis...
She remembered him from when she joined Shinra at that young age a while back...
She remembered the other Firsts too..
Sephiroth.
Angeal Hewley.
Zack Fair.

She folded her arms, and leaned against a wall as she continued to watch Leonhardt's battle with the simulation of a once great SOLDIER First Class.

 

"Your World really sounds amazing!" Layla said
"So my story isn't anything as cool as your's. Not by a long shot," she smiled.
"I grew up here in Midgar. So every day I saw or heard about what Shinra was doing and I hated it..."
"So when I met Tifa and I told her how much I hated Shinra for hurting the planet, she told me about AVALANCHE. I didn't joined right away. I already knew how to use a sword so the only problem was my bad memory,"
"When I get caught up in something... Like drawing in my book I usually forget about everything eles... That's why I missed the mission today. I was caught up in drawing something," She finished.
"If you want to see my book you're welcome too," she said with her book in her hand.

 

"Whenever I"m in trouble, my hero will come and rescue me. I want to at least experience that once." Young Tifa said, smiling.

Serenity gave a smal laugh when she watched that, Luna came up behind her. She smiled and shook her head.

 

Kaze listened to Barret's constant rranting as he was mercilessly beating the punching bag as he sweatdropped. "Never tick him off." he thought to himself.

 

Young Cloud looked at her again, a bit awestruck. "What?"

Ron looked at the girl for a second. "Uh sure. I guess.." he told her, leaning over to get a closer look.

 

Layla showed him pictures of almost everything she drew-of the Park where the children played, the chruch where the flowers grew, 7th heaven and pictures of the Avalanche members themselves. All the members- from Marlene and Barrett to Cloud. She couldn't help but blush when she turned to the picture she had drawn of Ron.

 

"Come on--! Promise me----!" Young Tifa said.

 

Young Cloud looked at her. "All right.... I promise."

The camera pans up to show the starry night sky. A falling star streaks
its white trail across the dark blue.

 

Back at 7th Heaven, Tifa said, "You remember now? ...Our promise?"

 

"I'm not a hero and I'm not famous. I can't keep.... the promise."

"You're pretty good." Ron told her while looking at the drawings, completely oblivious to her blushing.

 

"T-Thanks" Layla mumbled.
" So.. ummm.. So you have any brother or sisters?" she asked, hopping to make conversion.

 

"But you got your childhood dream, didn't you? You joined SOLDIER." Tifa said.

 

Cloud looks down.

"...You could say that... I've got a pretty big family." Ron told her.
"You?" he asked, thinking it would be rude if he didn't make an effort at conversation too...
although... he could imagine all the times he wouldn't care back at home. Again... how he'd be scolded by Hermione, and how Harry would just... well..
I wonder where they are... I know they're okay. I mean... it's Harry and Hermione... but...

 

"So come on! You've got to keep your promise......" Tifa said.

Hermione made a little sneeze, and looked out. She sighed, thinking to herself, 'Ron better not be getting into trouble. Or else, I'm so going to kick his butt with my ice rapiers.'
She ran to her teacher's home.
