Creepy. Just thought i'd let you know this, I honestly can't place Marcus Belby in this book, but still it's going to be quite a shock for the cast, especially after he signed on to star in 7.

I heard about that on tv, it seems sad that he lost his life so young. :(

I've heard about it on the newspaper yesterday... That is so sad in the way that he died..

Its the 14th teen murder in London...

If I remember correctly, Marcus Belby was one of the students that was favored by Slugworth because of his parents' positions in the Ministry.... or something like that.

I hope they caught the murderer. :(

 

It's sad to die so young. Also, it makes it even sadder he was trying to protect his brother.

 

Well, he died protecting his little brother, and that's definetly a big deal. I'll remember him with respect.

Very tragic. I hope the younger brother, Jamie, will be alright. I hope they do get a lead on why these knife attacks are happening. It's just a shame but he did die defending his brother so all wasn't lost. He should be remembered a hero.

It's sad that it took the death of an actor that few people knew was attached to Harry Potter 6 /7 to bring the news to the States that there was what appears to be a knifing rampage in London.


It's sad that I at first was worried about the actor, than the other's which is intolerable that our media would rather ignore a spree against teenagers until someone of importance is involved.

You are a hero to your brother...even if it takes him awhile to see that. And i hope that these needless attacks will stop, or the attacker is caught.

 

That's horrible...Especially protecting his little brother, that's really sad...Poor guy. I hope they dedicate the movie to him or something now. That's terrible...

Ya he was stabbed soon after he had done his part in the movie.It's a shame.He'd
reached the peek of his life and it was taken by a hoodied scumbag who had a row
with his younger brother about a mobile phone and he went into protect him.It's
scumbags like his killer which make life so hard.

 

I actually first heard about this a while ago, but this thread and an article in the Harry Potter wikia resurfaced the fact to me.

His role, Marcus Belbey, was a Ravenclaw student in 1996 (Order of the Pheonix)(For further information on actual Harry Potter timelines, see the wikia for Harry Potter), who tried out for Horace Slughorn's "Slug-club", since Belbly's Uncle had created the Wolfsbane potion, which was critical to those bitten, such as Remus Lupin. But due to the fact Belby's father wasn't on good terms with Slughorn, the potionmaster utltimately turned down Marcus Belbey as a "Slug Club member".

Not exactly a very dramatic role, but unfortuneately, Robert Knox's first and last major role. He had previously played on The Bill with a minor Role.

Aconnection between him and Kingdom hearts, just for thought, would be that Robert Knox played on The Bill which had a character named Michael Sowerby, who was played by actor David Dayan Fisher. Does the name seem familiar? Mr. Fisher did the voice role of Xaldin in Kingdom hearts II.
Also, Danniel Radcliffe, in a 2002 episode of The Bill,, was featured in the same series.

Knox's short but Noble career will be remembered by many. And may his murderer find his right place in the fiery pit.

Stuff like this makes me wish I had a Death Note. . . I knew about the "knifing spree" only because I've got a cousin who lives over in London. But she never told me that the most recent deadth was that of an actor, let a lone a dude who was going to get to do two Harry Potter movies. I feel really sorry for the family and friends who now have to go on with life without a person as good as he seemed to be. R.I.P.

 

Oh man, I'm gonna get so sad every time I see him in the movie. :(
