Pour moi, le japonais est tres dificile! Mais le francais...C'est assez facile pour moi, et je voudrais m'en perfectionner. C'est magnifique!

...Sorry about that. Yeah...randomly posting in French is a serious problem.

On topic: Japanese is still the hardest language I've ever attempted to learn.

Lets not begin with that here, I think that belongs in the spam zone.
You should start a thread about it there, and I´ll check on it then!

Forget the above two lines, you should PM me:D

Oui, c'est vrai, et que c'est dificile aussi! Mais, comment est-ce que vous avez écrit les accents sur les voyelles?

Back on topic: English is apparently one of the most difficult languages to learn. Incroyable, non?

Chinese is probably the hardest for an outsider to learn. Many people within the country itself can't write or read it. It probably has well over a hundred separate dialects because it can change even on a village to village basis, it's also very tonal and can have a different meaning with a different pitch. The writing form is complicated for many because to even become semi-literate you need to know thousands of characters as opposed to the small alphabets and syllabaries that are commonly used in other languages.

Just because "everyone" (no, not everyone speaks it) speaks it, doesn't mean it isn't hard to learn. If you've never spoken a word of English in your entire life and then you're being taught, I'd say it'd be rather difficult.

I'm learning Latin now. I don't think its very hard, as long as you get the grammar down, and the different cases, its easy. (though it can be confusing sometimes.)

I think German might be difficult though.

Simple. tu cliquer le Num Lock, presser et tenir Alt. Après cela, tapez le code de la lettre souhaitée et voi la! Pour un exemple 130 = é.

    hehehe,

Yes apparently it is complex to others because English is about the only language without genders and it confuese them.

And actually only 6% of the world's population are native english speakers and 75% speak no english at all. So not everyone speaks english.

It's still widely spoken as the language of business though.

For the second most spoken language in the world, English pretty easy.

Japanese is definitely the most hardest language to learn. You gotta know all the particles and know the difference between the subject and the topic and know what order the words go in a sentence before you can even start trying to learn kanji.

It's really confusing with all of characters and the sounds of it.

    I know two words.

I'm surprised at the number of people saying Japanese is hard. I'm not saying it's easy but generally you don't use kanji(Chinese writing form) but katakana and hiragana to write(both are syllabaries) and the spoken language isn't that terribly hard if you get used to it's little quirks. I suppose it'd be difficult for a native English speaker, but it's not really that hard as languages go.

It's easier to speak Japanese than it is to read it.

    Amen to that!

I feel the hardest language is either Vietnamese or Chinese. Why? The tones... OH GOD THE TONES!! KEEP THEM AWAY!!!

*ahem* Sorry about that. But, I can't stand the pronunciation! They don't even have akana system like Japanese, so it's hard to read. I gave up on both. Simple grammar.

    Japanese? Hard? *snicker* Hajimattara, muzui-kamoshire-n-ga, ore-ni-totte, muzui kotoba-dewa-nai. Demo, 3-nen-mae-kara naratte-iru-kara yasashiku-natta-kamoshire-nai.

Oh, and English is not the hardest. The grammar is horrifically simple, there are no genders for common nouns, only three articles (the, a, an), and a wholte lot of other stuff.

Oh, and by the way, English is not the only language without genders (pokes the Asian languages).
