Actually I find it quite interesting. I mean I've never heard of and I still think of it as a fairy tale and this happens? This could mean that there could be a possibility of cat-girls but I highly doubt it.

That poor man! I know it's creepy and all but think if you had that disease. I hope it doesn't obstruct his daily life too much. Like this year we learned about the elephant man in english and i thought that was very sad, because he was really cool and stuff under all that grossness.

Just the thought of this creeps me out. I could not imagine having twigs popping out of my limbs. I find this very odd. Actually, it kind of gets me at a loss of words because I have never heard of anything like this happening in real life.

Well if that freaks you out, there are weird cases in babies called like icthositis harliquen or something really hard to spell. The baby has super thick skin that is really dry and not flexible and bendable like a normal persons. o.o Kind of makes other parts of their bodies look like a snake.

o.O Just something weird I thought I'd share.

Like I said. I would sometimes read comic books and think this isn't real, but when you see this man and he's half tree, your mind changes it's direction and then you think it's possible to have inhuman abilities. Like you said, the babies are acting like snakes. Maybe a gene had been spliced and then recoded itself accidently into a snake personality.

PS. sorry but I'm right now taking Biology and learned DNA a few days ago.

We had to get an example of gemetic mutation for Biology and I used this and we watched the video in class. It was the first time I had watched it and it freaked me out. Then later I looked up pictures of him and he has had surgery and some of the twigs are gone now, actually alot of them!

Yeah, it looks like he's successfully undergone 4 surgeries and a lot of the warts and growths have been removed. So far it seems he has been able to write again, albeit slowly and has another surgery to go through. I do hope he continues to do well and can go home cured of this horrible affliction. So far his prognosis has been fine and I hope they will show some 'after' photos so we can see how he looks after.
